Here is tie-breaker question #3:
Fill in the blank:
_North Dakota_ is the only state that requires no registration prior to voting.
Source
Charlie was first, and correct, with:
And for the tie-breaker, it's North Dakota. I've been through that
state via Amtrak, and it's beautiful, but even with that rule, I'm not
qualified to vote there, and it's cold enough where I am now. Here it's
30° F., and right now it's -8° In Fargo, and that is headed my way. I do
believe climate disruption is a huge threat, however.
Joe S nailed it:
North Dakota is the only state that requires no registration prior to voting.

Milk - In Limited Theaters Now - WIDE Release on December 12th
After moving to San Francisco, the middle-aged New Yorker, Harvey Milk, became a Gay Rights activist and city politician. On his third attempt, he was elected to San Francisco's Board of Supervisors in 1977, making him the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in the USA. The following year, both he and the city's mayor, George Moscone, were shot to death by former city supervisor, Dan White, who blamed his former colleagues for denying White's attempt to rescind his resignation from the board.
Mr. Milk had been the subject of several books and the Academy Award-winning documentary feature, The Times of Harvey Milk (1984); but Milk (2008) is the first fictional feature to explore private aspects of the man's personal life and career.
Milk was filmed on location in San Francisco. Many of Mr Milk's real-life surviving friends and former associates participated in the making of this film, several appearing on camera.

Ben Affleck and Mick Jagger teamed up on Wednesday to launch a short film called "Gimme Shelter" drawing attention to the plight of Congolese families driven from their homes by a decade of war.
Oscar winner and actor Affleck, who has traveled to central Africa four times since 2007, directed the film which was shot in North Kivu in Congo last month to help raise $23 million for the work of the U.N. refugee agency in Congo.
The film is set to the 1969 Rolling Stones song "Gimme Shelter," written by Jagger and Keith Richards. Released at the time of the Vietnam War, the song features the refrain "War, children, it's just a shot away, it's just a shot away."
The film focuses on the plight of families forced to flee the fighting, among an estimated 1.3 million displaced people in Congo, according to the U.N. refugee agency. The film will be distributed online at www.unhcr.org as well as on television and in cinemas.

British author J.K. Rowling's new charity book has become the fastest selling title of the year, with more than 2.6 million copies sold worldwide in less than two weeks.
Since it was released on December 4, "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" has also become the top selling book of 2008 on both sides of the Atlantic, topping the USA Today and Daily Telegraph charts and raising 4.2 million pounds ($6.5 million) for charity.
Proceeds from sales of the book, which has a global print run of eight million copies, will go to the Children's High Level Group (CHLG), a charity for vulnerable children in Eastern Europe co-founded by Rowling.
Rowling, who has become the world's wealthiest writer, originally hand-wrote and illustrated seven copies of Beedle the Bard, six of which she gave away as gifts and one which she sold at auction in 2007, fetching $4 million for the charity.
Where else but in the world of touring would Miley Cyrus and Leonard Cohen be on the same short list?
This year's Billboard tally of Top 25 Tours comprises many artists long familiar to concertgoers, but the list is not completely dominated by veterans whose biggest hits are behind them. Nor, as evidenced by veteran singer-songwriter Cohen's appearance, are the top tours limited to producers of hits.
The top tours are a mix of legends, legends-to-be and promising breakthroughs. As usual, the list skews toward the legends. And the top tier is all about guys from Jersey.
Top-Grossing Tours of 2008:
1. Bon Jovi ($210.7 million)
2. Bruce Springsteen ($204.5 million)
3. Madonna ($185.7 million)
4. The Police ($149.6 million)
5. Celine Dion ($91 million)
6. Kenny Chesney ($86.3 million)
7. Neil Diamond ($81.2 million)
8. Spice Girls ($70.1 million)
9. Eagles ($56.6 million)
10. Rascal Flatts ($55.9 million)

Nashville police say country singer Mindy McCready has been hospitalized after an apparent suicide attempt. A police report says McCready's brother discovered she had cut her wrists and taken several pills at her home Wednesday. Timothy McCready told police his sister had been "very intoxicated" after a night out.
A hospital spokeswoman says the singer is in stable condition. McCready attorney Lee Ofman said he did not have details about the situation.
A supermarket is defending itself for refusing to a write out 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell's name on his birthday cake. Deborah Campbell, 25, of nearby Hunterdon County, N.J., said she phoned in her order last week to the Greenwich ShopRite. When she told the bakery department she wanted her son's name spelled out, she was told to talk to a supervisor, who denied the request.
Karen Meleta, a ShopRite spokeswoman, said the store denied similar requests from the Campbells the last two years, including a request for a swastika.
The Campbells ultimately got their cake decorated at a Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania, Deborah Campbell said Tuesday.
The Campbells' two other children are named JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, who turns 2 in a few months, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, who will be 1 in April.

Combining works by Blake from its own collection and other museums and galleries around the country, the Tate will reunite nine of the original 16 works that made up the 1809 show.
Richard Dreyfuss says his father and uncle owe him nearly $4 million on an unpaid loan.
The Oscar-winning actor sued the pair in August over the loan, but amended his lawsuit this week to raise new allegations of financial wrongdoing. Dreyfuss' complaint states he loaned his father and uncle $870,000 in the early 1980s to help them with a 13-story office building they own in downtown Los Angeles.
The lawsuit claims Gilbert and Norman Dreyfuss may have diverted millions of dollars from a $6 million judgment they won against the state of California over a lease arrangement in the building.
The suit also states the Dreyfuss brothers failed to properly repay a $13 million loan on the building, resulting in a lender starting foreclosure proceedings on the property.
Whitney Houston is being sued by her stepmother in a legal battle over the wishes of Houston's deceased father.
According to court records, Barbara Houston claims the 45-year-old singer improperly kept the proceeds from John Houston's $1 million insurance policy after he died in 2003.
The lawsuit says the singer was supposed to use $723,000 to pay off the mortgage on her father's Fort Lee condominium. She holds the mortgage on the condo.
The stepmother, who still lives in the condo, claims that Whitney Houston was also supposed to return the remaining insurance money to her.

A collection of E.H. Shepard's original drawings for the Winnie-the-Pooh children's books by A.A. Milne fetched around 1.3 million pounds ($2.0 million) at auction on Wednesday, above the high pre-sale estimate.
The sale also set a record for a drawing by the British artist, when one of his most recognizable images, "He went on tracking, and Piglet ... ran after him," sold for 115,250 pounds, more than double expectations.
The second highest bid of the night was for another famous image of the lovable honey-loving bear, "Bump, bump, bump - going up the stairs," which went under the hammer for 97,250 pounds, again well above estimates.
The picture of Christopher Robin dragging his bear by the leg up the stairs beside him comes from the final chapter of "Winnie-the-Pooh."
MSNBC anchor David Shuster, who got into trouble earlier this year for saying Chelsea Clinton had been "pimped out" by her mother's presidential campaign, will take the helm of "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue," the nightly news program on politics and Washington news.
He will replace Karl Rove's favorite dance partner, David Gregory, who left the show created earlier this year to become moderator of "Meet the Press" at broadcast sibling NBC.
Shuster has been an anchor at MSNBC for six years. After his "pimped out" aside, he apologized and was suspended. In addition to "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue," Schuster will be an anchor and reporter on the news channel. He began his career for CNN as an assignment editor and field producer.
