Here is tie-breaker question #4:
What was the first Hollywood studio film to mock Adolf Hitler? (Hint: It's not Chaplin's The Great Dictator)
Charlie was first, and correct, with:
Tie breaker #4 takes a bit of research, but I was a big fan of the Three Stooges as a kid, and it turns out the answer is
You Nazty Spy!
featuring Moe as the Hitler character. Moe's resemblance to Adolf probably exceeded Chaplin's, and it is interesting here to note that Moe was Jewish.
Sally said:
"Confessions of a Nazi Spy" (Warner Bros. Studio) was a 1939 spy thriller and the first blatantly anti-Nazi film produced by a major Hollywood studio prior to WWII. Despite its controversial subject, the film was a major worldwide box office hit for Warner Bros.
But, "You Nazty Spy!" (Columbia Studios) starring the Three Stooges hit the theaters in January 1940, nine months before Charlie Chaplin's "The Great Dictator." It is probably more, mocking...
As an aside, It was a time when most of the Hollywood studios remained reluctant to address the Nazi State.... The timidity of the studio heads was based on several factors: They didn't want to close down the European market for Hollywood films, and they were being pressured from conservatives and isolationists in Congress who opposed US involvement in the European war. But, I think, that Big Business will go with the money over ethics, every time - always did, and always will...
Joe S missed it:
I'm going out on a limb here, because I'm not really sure if this is a "studio film." My answer is
Der Fueher's Face, from Disney Studios, starring Donald Duck. The film was made in 1942 and released January 1, 1943.
Marian the Teacher is correct about the studio:
Columbia
And, joe b answered:
I don't know if they were first, but Moe from the 3 Stooges played Adolf.
Marty you and your family have a Happy Holiday.

After moving to San Francisco, the middle-aged New Yorker, Harvey Milk, became a Gay Rights activist and city politician. On his third attempt, he was elected to San Francisco's Board of Supervisors in 1977, making him the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in the USA. The following year, both he and the city's mayor, George Moscone, were shot to death by former city supervisor, Dan White, who blamed his former colleagues for denying White's attempt to rescind his resignation from the board.
Mr. Milk had been the subject of several books and the Academy Award-winning documentary feature, The Times of Harvey Milk (1984); but Milk (2008) is the first fictional feature to explore private aspects of the man's personal life and career.

Paul Simon and Christopher Guest have been appointed to the board of trustees of Boston's Berklee College of Music.
The school announced the additions on Thursday. Berklee President Roger Brown said adding Simon and Guest augments the board's knowledge of education, songwriting, performance and film.
Simon, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, has two scholarships in his name at the college.
Guest, who directed the films "Waiting for Guffman," "Best in Show" and "A Mighty Wind," performed a concert with Berklee students and faculty in 2007.

Researchers have found three previously unknown sketches on the back of a painting Leonardo da Vinci that may have been drawn by the Renaissance master.
Paris' Louvre Museum says the sketches feature a horse head, part of a skull and baby Jesus with a lamb. Researchers using infrared cameras found them on the back of "The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne."
In a statement Thursday, the Louvre said the style was reminiscent of Leonardo's. Researchers are working to determine whether he drew them.
The sketches are barely visible to the eye. They were discovered during an in-depth examination using an infrared camera that picks up traces of carbon-based pigments often used for sketches.
How snotty: Scarlett Johansson blew her nose on a tissue, and now the tissue is being sold on eBay.
Johansson appeared on NBC's "Tonight" show Wednesday to promote her new movie, "The Spirit." The actress said she'd caught a cold from co-star Samuel L. Jackson, and felt her illness had value because it had been passed down from one celebrity to another.
Host Jay Leno then handed her a tissue, and Johansson announced she would sell it on eBay to raise money for the hunger relief charity USA Harvest. She blew twice, depositing some lipstick and mucus.
As of Thursday morning, the dirty tissue had snagged more than 60 bids, with the highest bidder putting up $2,050. The online auction ends Monday.
Sci Fi Channel is expanding its "Ghost Hunters" franchise through a multipart agreement that includes dozens of hours of reality programing.
The network has given the green light to six episodes of a college edition of the paranormal series, tentatively titled "Ghost Hunters: New Generation." Sci Fi also has ordered a sixth season of the "Hunters" flagship and a second season of the "International" spin-off.
In addition, creator Craig Piligian has signed an agreement for an as-yet-undetermined series separate from the "Hunters" brand with an eye toward a 2010 premiere date.
"Hunters" has been one of the network's top ratings performers and has grown its audience each season. The most recent season averaged 2.8 million viewers per week.

Two actors - Norbert Leo Butz and William H. Macy - will replace Jeremy Piven who has unexpectedly left the cast of the hit Broadway revival of "Speed-the-Plow," producer Jeffrey Richards announced Thursday.
Piven, star of HBO's "Entourage," abruptly departed the critically praised production of Mamet's satiric comedy over the weekend, less than two months after the show opened.
In an interview, Richards said Piven had collapsed Monday at his home and had been under the care of his doctor, Carlon Colker.
The doctor told Variety, the show business trade paper, the 43-year-old actor has been suffering from high levels of mercury. He said the actor had been "a trooper and did everything he could to fight extreme fatigue, among other things, since the condition was diagnosed."
One of the last remaining public statues of the late Spanish dictator Francisco Franco was taken down from the centre of the northern city of Santander on Thursday, 33 years after his death.
The seven-foot (2.1-metre) bronze statue, which depicts the general on horseback in his commander-in-chief uniform, was inaugurated in 1964 and was one of a host of similar statues erected at the time in other Spanish cities.
Santander city hall decided to remove the statue in 2004 as part of plan to redevelopment plan for the central square but it has taken four years for the work to begin.
Socialist Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero's government passed a law in 2007 which requires that all statues, plaques and other symbols of Franco's dictatorship be removed from public buildings.

News Corp.'s 20th Century Fox Television studio has asked producers of shows such as Fox's "24" and "My Name is Earl," produced for NBC, to trim their budgets this season by 2 percent, a spokesman said Wednesday.
The cuts will affect between 16 and 20 shows currently in production, but will probably not result in layoffs, said spokesman Chris Alexander.
"We don't anticipate that there will be any layoffs. Where the cuts will be made will be at the discretion of every show runner," he said. "Everyone understands that revenues are down and these steps are necessary to protect our business."
The move is part of a wider cost-cutting initiative at News Corp.'s Fox properties, from TV stations and the film studio to MySpace, as advertising revenue has fallen across all media. The company has been cutting travel and entertainment budgets and leaving vacant jobs unfilled.
The MLB Network will premiere on New Year's Day with the original telecast -- commercials and all -- of New York Yanees pitcher Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 baseball World Series.
The game, which was televised on NBC, was thought to have been lost to history. But several years ago, a collector discovered a kinescope version that begins in the second inning and continues throughout the end. Before the videotape era, kinescopes were a popular way of recording TV shows. They were usually created by placing a movie camera in front of a television monitor and recording the image off the monitor's screen while the program was being aired.
It will be the first time the contest has been televised since the October day 52 years ago.
Yankees' announcer Mel Allen and Brooklyn Dodgers' announcer Vin Scully do the play-by-play. Larsen is the only pitcher ever to throw a perfect game during the World Series.

While animal lovers in Beijing protested the killing of cats for food on Thursday, a butcher in Guangdong province - where felines are the main ingredient in a famous soup - just shrugged her shoulders and wielded her cleaver. "Cats have a strong flavor. Dogs taste much better, but if you really want cat meat, I can have it delivered by tomorrow," said the butcher, who gave only her surname, Huang.
It was just this attitude that outraged about 40 cat lovers who unfurled banners in a tearful protest outside the Guangdong government office in Beijing. Many were retirees who care for stray felines they said were being rounded up by dealers.
"The cat meat we sell comes from legitimate sources," said Huang, who gave only her surname because her boss doesn't allow her to speak to reporters. "It's from cat farms. The animals are raised the same way cows are."
She said cat meat sold for about $1.32 a pound, while dog meat was cheaper, at about 95 cents a pound. Chicken was the best buy at 62 cents a pound, while lamb sold for about $1.32.
An Egyptian man said Wednesday he was offering his 20-year-old daughter in marriage to Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi, who threw his shoes at U.S. President George W. Bush in Baghdad Sunday,
The daughter, Amal Saad Gumaa, said she agreed with the idea. "This is something that would honour me. I would like to live in Iraq, especially if I were attached to this hero," she told Reuters by telephone.
Her father, Saad Gumaa, said he had called Dergham, Zaidi's brother, to tell him of the offer. "I find nothing more valuable than my daughter to offer to him, and I am prepared to provide her with everything needed for marriage," he added.
Amal is a student in the media faculty at Minya University in central Egypt.
Majel Barrett Roddenberry, the widow of "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry, has died. She was 76. Roddenberry, an actress who appeared in numerous "Star Trek" TV shows and movies, died Thursday of leukemia at her home in Bel-Air, Calif., her representative said.
Her romance with Roddenberry earned her the title "The First Lady of Star Trek." A fixture in the "Star Trek" franchise, her roles included Nurse Christine Chapel in the original "Star Trek," Lwaxana Troi in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and the voice of the USS Enterprise computer in almost every spin-off of the 1966 cult series. She recently reprised the voice role in the upcoming "Star Trek" film directed by J.J. Abrams.
