To begin...
01-Skeewiff's 'Get Your Freak On' (
Missy Vs The Munsters ) has Hip Hop laid against a DJ'ed up version of the classic Munsters TV show theme. That's already tons of fun, but when you add on the additional thrills the superbly-crafted video brings, this is one I expect to go over huge! The Great Grantsy made the irresistible video. Have fun with

04-Warvadal tops everybody else by virtue of quality and quantity. His all-new 'Spook T.V. (Video Mix)' is perfectly seasonal, and contains 20 videos joined by a DJ of vast skill. The file is enormous, but you can simply stream it if you'd rather not attempt a 757 mB file. Me, I grabbed the full file to avoid buffering. I hate buffering. This is one awesome Halloween effort! Huge praise to Warvadal, and thanks!

Eternal Flame Restored
JFK
The eternal flame at the gravesite of former President John F. Kennedy has been restored at Arlington National Cemetery.
On Tuesday, the cemetery transferred the flame from a temporary burner to the restored permanent eternal flame that is part of a memorial to the 35th president.
Repairs began in April to replace components of the eternal flame's burner. Contractors installed new gas and air lines, a new burner assembly and new drainage lines below the flame.
The work was supposed to be completed by late May. But the flame remained on a temporary burner through October. The temporary flame was visible to tourists during the project.

Marking 90th Birthday On 'TPIR'
Bob Barker
CBS says "The Price is Right" is planning a milestone birthday celebration for former host Bob Barker.
Barker will celebrate his 90th birthday with an appearance on the game show in December, the network said Tuesday. He retired as host in 2007 after 35 years with "The Price is Right."
The show also will pay tribute to Barker's longtime animal activism by featuring pet adoptions during the week of Dec. 9-13.
Barker will be on "The Price is Right" on his birthday, Dec. 12, and will present a special showcase to mark the occasion, CBS said.

Series creator Doug Ellin says a long-planned "Entourage" movie is finally "a go."
Ellin tweeted the news Monday evening, along with a photo of himself and the cast arm-in-arm. Returning to bring the HBO series to the big screen are stars Jeremy Piven, Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Dillon and Kevin Connolly.
"Entourage" is a light portrait of Hollywood and young stardom that ran for eight seasons on HBO before ending in 2011.
Warner Bros. is expected to begin production on the film in January.

Home Gets Historic Designation
Steve Jobs
The Silicon Valley home where Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs grew up and built some of his first computers is now on the city's list of historic properties.
The historical commission in the city of Los Altos voted unanimously for the historic designation Monday night, the Palo Alto Daily News reported. Any proposed renovations to the modest, ranch-style home now require additional review.
The home, where Jobs and his foster adoptive parents moved in 1968, is owned by Jobs' sister, Patricia Jobs. The commission didn't need her permission for the designation, although she could appeal it to the City Council.
Steve Jobs, with help from his sister and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, built the first 100 Apple I computers at the home, according to the city's evaluation. Fifty were sold to a shop in neighboring Mountain View for $500 each.

Press Group Defends
Glenn Greenwald
The Inter-American Press Association on Tuesday warned countries not to harass Glenn Greenwald, the American journalist who drew attention to the massive scale of US eavesdropping.
IAPA, which represents editors and publishers from the Americas, cited Britain's arrest of Greenwald's partner David Miranda and the confiscation of journalistic material in his possession.
"The British government has not clarified whether Greenwald or Miranda are the subjects of a criminal investigation for the publication of details regarding government surveillance of private citizens' communications," the head of IAPA's press freedoms committee, Claudio Paolillo, said.
"In our opinion, Greenwald's journalistic work has prompted justifiable concern by government leaders and private citizens regarding secret government surveillance of their communications", said Paolillo, editor of the Uruguay weekly Busqueda.
Paolillo said the pressures exerted by governments on their citizens in the wake of the leaks were forcing "a false choice between freedom of expression and national security."

Overwhelming UN Vote Against US Embargo
Cuba
A record-equalling 188 countries on Tuesday condemned the five-decade-old US embargo against communist Cuba in an annual UN General Assembly vote that signalled hardening opposition to US sanctions.
Only Israel joined the United States in opposing resolution, the smallest number ever. Last year two allies voted with the US government.
Three Pacific island states normally close to the United States -- Micronesia, Marshall Islands and Palau -- abstained as the barrage of criticism of the embargo reached a new peak in the 22nd annual vote at the UN Assembly.
China, Iran, which has launched a bid to thaw relations with the US administration, Latin American and African nations all publicly condemned the United States.

Identify Nazi Looted Art
Dutch Museums
Dutch museums announced Tuesday they have found 139 artworks that may have been looted during the Nazi era, including paintings from masters such as Matisse, Klee and Kandinsky.
The major review of all museum collections in the country found art that had either dubious or definitely suspect origins.
"These objects are either thought or known to have been looted, confiscated or sold under duress," said Siebe Weide, director of the Netherlands Museums Association. He said returning them is "both a moral obligation and one that we have taken upon ourselves."
The Dutch are not the first to undertake such a review since a major conference in Washington D.C. on looted art in 1998 that found previous attempt to restore looted art to rightful heirs had been badly flawed. American and British museums have already conducted investigations similar to the Dutch one. In Germany and many other countries, similar investigations are still underway.

City Sues
Sriracha
The maker of Sriracha hot sauce is under fire for allegedly fouling the air around its Southern California factory.
The city of Irwindale filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday asking a judge to stop production at the Huy Fong Foods factory, claiming the chili odour emanating from the plant is a public nuisance.
The city, which is about 20 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, is seeking temporary closure of the factory until Huy Fong submits a plan to minimize the smell.
Huy Fong's green-capped chili bottles are hugely popular and are a fixture at restaurants around the world. The first Sriracha Festival held in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend drew hundreds of fans. The condiment's creator, David Tran, was there sporting a T-shirt that said "I put Sriracha on my Sriracha."
The company had operated out of two buildings in nearby Rosemead since the late 1980s until it opened large factory in Irwindale this year.

Teaching Challenge
Kenya
In Kenya's national museum, wide-eyed school children gaze at blackened skeletons of long gone ancestors, 1.5 million-year-old remains that provide key lessons today for modern teachers of mankind's origin.
For deeply religious Kenya -- dubbed the 'cradle of mankind' for the wealth of early hominid fossils dug up from its soil showing man's evolution -- the famous remains challenge literal teachings of Christianity, Islam and traditional beliefs.
While across the world teachers must juggle science and religion, the fossils of Kenya provide stark examples found in few nations elsewhere.
"There have been challenges in teaching evolution... largely because of the religious teachings on creation, which are deeply entrenched," said Fredrick Kyalo Manthi, head of the paleontology section at National Museums of Kenya.
The fossils have proved controversial.

Poisonous Legacy: Mercury
Gold Rush
Even though the California Gold Rush took place more than a century ago, it left a toxic legacy of mercury pollution that will continue to be a problem for some time, scientists say.
New research shows that gold mining in the Sierra Nevada mountains between 1848 and 1884 left tons and tons of mercury-contaminated sediments in river valleys downstream, such as the Yuba River valley. About once a decade, large floods lose enough of this sediment to create a spike in mercury concentrations downriver and in the San Francisco Bay, said Michael Singer, a geologist and hydrologist with joint appointments at Scotland's University of St. Andrews and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
It was previously thought that most of the mercury from this mining, much of which took place more than 150 years ago, had already exited the river system, Singer said. But a study by Singer and colleagues published this week in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showed this isn't the case. Instead, the study found that there is enough mercury-contaminated sediment to significantly add to levels of the heavy metal downriver and in the San Francisco Bay for the next 10,000 years. The sediment is washed away by large floods but also by the meandering of the river, which curves back and forth within its valley and exposes long-buried, polluted dirt, he added.
Gold-rush miners sought gold by eroding entire hillsides with high-pressure water cannons, contrary to popular conceptions of panning for gold, Gabet told LiveScience. The sediment was then run through "sluice boxes," where mercury was added to bind to gold. But large quantities of the heavy metal made their way into sediment downstream. This destructive mining filled valleys with sediments that caused flooding in California's Central Valley, and in 1884, the federal government shut down much of this gold-mining activity, Singer said.

London Bunker
Winston Churchill
Deep in the bowels of London's Churchill War Rooms, shadowy figures are learning how to defuse bombs, crack codes and rooting out hidden microphones.
But the 300 people, some in their sharpest 1940s outfits, are not real spies but enthusiasts trying their hand at being members of the World War II Special Operations Executive.
The night-time event in early October was completely sold out as Londoners in search of the latest way to fill up an evening enjoy a bit of living history.
The War Rooms were the nerve centre of Britain's war effort, where Prime Minister Winston Churchill directed operations against he Nazis, and were converted into a succesful museum in 1984.
