I sure enjoy the holiday of Halloween. I grew up with it being a special time of every Autumn. Now, as an adult, I still thrill to the mock Halloween terror we all share collectively through making Halloween mashups. I always post a new DJ Useo Halloween ep every year because of my infatuation with the date. So I am thrilled to be on
Cheekyboys' new annual collection of fear-fraught bootleg recordings. By George, he's done it again! Let's hear what he has to say about it.-
"BIG thanks to all the HORRIFYINGly talented DJ's and producers with tracks on this years MONSTROUS collection. This has been months of work. Special thanks Voicedude for coming up with one of the titles!
I hope you enjoy it and have a fantastic Halloween season! Please let us know what tracks you like, or if you play any of them! Also if you would like to spread the word on facebook, etc., that would be muchly appreciated!
Cheers
Count Von Cheekyboy"
Just look at this tracklist! Tons of popular mashers & a few great newbies! I've heard the entire 2 discs & can assure you it's a worthy collection.

For the most part this collection is family-friendly, so partake of it now & experience the ghoulish grooves!
Meanwhile, we're back at work at the next mashup record. I think it's for St.John's Wart day,or something.
The past years' Cheekyboy Halloween albums are still available, too!

Barack Obama: The Rolling Stone Interview
… over the past 20 months, we made a series of decisions that were focused on governance, and sometimes there was a conflict between governance and politics. So there were some areas where we could have picked a fight with Republicans that might have gotten our base feeling good, but would have resulted in us not getting legislation done. I could have had a knock-down, drag-out fight on the public option that might have energized you and The Huffington Post, and we would not have health care legislation now.
Clarence Page: Rahmbo's White House legacy (chicagotribune.com)
"Larger than life." That's how Rahm Emanuel's first-grade teacher described him in a written evaluation, according to a March 2009 profile in The New Yorker. Smart teacher. The man known simply as "Rahm" or "Rahmbo" apparently loomed large even then.
Scott Burns: Get Paid To Move Your Money (assetbuilder.com)
Tired of getting no interest on your bank deposits? Well, there is an alternative. It will require moving your bank account. It won't require taking any risk. You'll need to move your money because the largest banks in America are paying next to nothing for their deposits. They do this with the blessing of the Federal Reserve. Many smaller banks aren't paying much either, also with the blessing of the Federal Reserve.
Roger Ebert: Review of "LET ME IN" (R; 3 ½ stars)
"Let Me In," like the Swedish film that inspired it, deals brutally with the tragic life of the vampire. It's not all fun, games and Team Edward. No lifestyle depending on fresh human blood can be anything but desperate. A vampire, like a drug addict, is driven by need. After a certain point, all else is irrelevant, and the focus is on the craving.
Roger Ebert: Review of "SOME LIKE IT HOT" (1959; A Great Movie)
What a work of art and nature is Marilyn Monroe. She hasn't aged into an icon, some citizen of the past, but still seems to be inventing herself as we watch her. She has the gift of appearing to hit on her lines of dialogue by happy inspiration, and there are passages in Billy Wilder's "Some Like It Hot" where she and Tony Curtis exchange one-liners like hot potatoes.
Cyrus Fard: "'Charade': Whom to Trust?" (popmatters.com)
Stanley Donen's 'Charade' deftly balances suspense, romance and comedy, in a quirky thriller that is memorable for showcasing the great chemistry between Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are taking on causes more serious than a mock feud when they lead dueling political rallies on the National Mall later this month.
Stewart, host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," announced Monday on NPR that he will ask attendees at his Oct. 30 "Rally to Restore Sanity" to help restore the National Mall. The park and its memorials have a $400 million backlog of deferred maintenance.
On the event's website, Stewart wrote that ralliers should pick up after themselves, "in the name of sanity and reasonableness."
"We feel it's important to preserve this historic site for future rallies and for future Americans to rally on!" Stewart wrote. "But just in case you accidentally, like, put a beverage down on the Mall's coffee table without using a coaster, we figure that giving a little something back to the National Mall might, at least, soften the blow."
Colbert, host of "The Colbert Report," is asking attendees at his "Keep Fear Alive" march to donate to Donors Choose, which raises money for school supplies.

John Lennon would have been 70 this week, and who better to honor his legacy in song than ... Ozzy Osbourne?
Yes, Ozzy Osbourne. The Black Sabbath heavy-metal king has made a cover of Lennon's "How," available Tuesday on iTunes to benefit Amnesty International.
Osbourne says Lennon was a "driving force for humanity." He also credits the Beatles as the inspiration for his musical career.
A video for the song is debuting on AOL's PopEater.com.
An Israeli orchestra is set to become the first ensemble from the Jewish state to play a German festival associated with Richard Wagner, a composer admired by Adolf Hitler and whose music has been controversial in Israel.
The Israel Chamber Orchestra will perform in July in the northern Bavarian town of Bayreuth where Wagner lived the latter part of his life until his death in 1883. He built an opera house there, designed to host his own expansive works.
Israeli orchestras rarely play Wagner's music, citing the feelings of survivors of the Nazi Holocaust, and state-owned media in Israel largely keeps his work off the air.
Meirav Magen-Leilie, the Israel Chamber Orchestra spokeswoman, said the orchestra would not rehearse Wagner's music while in Israel and any member who wished to be excused from playing his works would be accommodated.

George Washington may be best known as a general and statesman, but this week a group of experts was more interested in another one of the first president's talents: making peach brandy.
In a reconstructed distillery at Washington's Mount Vernon estate, a group from around the country spent Tuesday trying to recreate Washington's drink. They used the same process that would have been used two centuries ago: keeping fires going to heat the liquid and transferring it by buckets instead of modern pumps.
"We didn't get into this to get in the liquor business. It's all educational," said Dennis Pogue, who oversees historic research at Mount Vernon and oversaw the rebuilding of the distillery in 2007.
Washington was better known for producing rye whiskey. The Mount Vernon staff knows his recipe and has made and bottled it in the past. Tuesday was the first time, however, the estate has used its distillery to re-create peach brandy, which Washington made in smaller quantities.
Journalist Christopher Hitchens on Monday called for the reinstatement of fired CNN on-air personality Rick Sanchez and called on Jon Stewart and others to join him in doing so.
He also compared Sanchez's firing, which quickly followed his controversial comments in a radio interview, to the recent resignation of Dr. Laura Schlessinger for using the N-word.
In a Slate column, Hitchens argued: "The best way to demonstrate the hidden influence of the chosen people would be for Jon Stewart and others to join me in calling for Rick Sanchez's reinstatement. If it then didn't happen, it would help us understand who really pulls the strings around here."
"He didn't descend into saying that there was Jewish control of the media, but he did imply that liberalism was linked to a single ethnicity," Hitchens wrote Monday. "Still, there is nothing criminal about this, and the speed of his firing, like the other recent abrupt disappearances of Laura Schlessinger and (former CNN senior editor of Mideast affairs) Octavia Nasr, seems to suggest a network system that cares only about playing safe and avoiding 'offense.'"

When billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump looks in the mirror, he is starting to see the possibility of a U.S. president staring back at him.
Trump did a round of TV interviews on Tuesday to talk about the possibility of making a presidential run in 2012.
"For the first time in my life, I'm actually thinking about it (running for president)," Trump, who declared himself a Republican, told Fox News Channel.
Trump did not rule out the possibility of running under the banner of the Tea Party, the conservative movement that so far is seen as a sub-group of the Republican Party but which some experts think could emerge as a third party.
Viacom Inc.'s movie studio, Paramount Pictures, is laying off 53 people worldwide, most of whom are based in Los Angeles, in a move that will save about $10 million a year.
Chief Operating Officer Frederick Huntsberry and Vice Chairman Rob Moore informed staff of the move in an e-mail Thursday.
The layoffs come amid an industrywide decline in DVD sales and as Paramount has pared back the number of movies it releases every year.
In the quarter that ended in June, Paramount's revenue fell 10 percent to $1.25 billion, but it posted $69 million in operating profit, reversing a small loss, as it cut costs by releasing fewer movies.
The Vatican kept up its attack on the Nobel committee on Tuesday for giving the medicine prize to in-vitro fertilization pioneer Robert Edwards, saying he had led to a culture where embryos are seen as commodities.
For the second straight day, it gave the thumbs down to the choice of Edwards, whose success in fertilizing a human egg outside of the womb led to "test tube babies" and innovations such as embryonic stem cell research and surrogate motherhood.
The Vatican ratcheted up its negative opinion as several leading Italian newspapers criticized it for its attack on Edwards.
A Vatican official's initial negative reaction on Monday to the medicine prize being given to Edwards as "completely misplaced" was splashed on front pages of Tuesday's Italian newspapers, with some editorials harshly critical of its stance.
Will Discovery reel in its missing "Deadliest Catch" captains?
As filming is set to begin next week on the show's seventh season, the network issued a statement Monday revealing that the Cornelia Marie, the fishing boat captained by the late Phil Harris, will return this season with sons Josh and Jake Harris on board as deckhands.
But absent from the statement were popular "Catch" co-stars Capts. Sig Hansen and Andy and Johnathan Hillstrand, who quit the Emmy-nominated reality series last week in the wake of a $3 million lawsuit Discovery filed against the Hillstrands for allegedly failing to complete work on a planned spin-off special.
Discovery, Hansen and the Hillstrands all have declined to comment since the "Catch" co-stars told The Hollywood Reporter last week that they were "unable" to continue with the show due to "the current situation with Discovery." The silence suggests the two sides are at least talking about a possible settlement of the lawsuit that would pave the way for the trio to return to the show.
MTV is revamping "Punk'd," and this time around, Justin Bieber will be hosting.
The 16-year-old singer has been all but officially tapped to host the revival, industry insiders told New York magazine's entertainment blog, Vulture.
Ashton Kutcher, who hosted the show when it premiered in 2003, will continue as an executive producer through his Katalyst Entertainment banner.
Once a deal has been worked out with Bieber, he will be the one leading the charge, though the "Baby" singer might find himself pulling a few pranks in early episodes.
Republican Meg Whitman has spent more than $140 million on her campaign for California governor so far, nearly $40 million of it during the last three months, she reported Tuesday.
The spending stands in sharp contrast to Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown, who was expected to report Tuesday that he has spent $10.3 million so far this year, nearly all of it since Labor Day.
His campaign said he has $22.5 million in campaign cash as he heads into the final month of the race against Whitman. The figure does not include nonmonetary donations of supplies and labor, on which Brown has relied heavily all year.
The campaign finance report filed Tuesday shows Whitman has raised $29.5 million from outside sources since she announced her run last year and has about $9 million cash on hand for the final month of the race against Brown. But the former eBay CEO who is making her first run for office has so far been willing to open her wallet and has given her campaign $119 million from her personal fortune, a record for a U.S. candidate.
Security camera footage captured a Saudi prince savagely beating his servant in a luxury hotel elevator only weeks before the aide was slain, a British prosecutor said Tuesday.
Prince Saud Abdulaziz bin Nasser al Saud is accused of murdering Bandar Abdullah Abdulaziz in a frenzied sex attack at London's Landmark Hotel Feb. 15. Abdulaziz was found beaten and strangled to death in the room the two shared at London's Landmark Hotel.
Prosecutor Jonathan Laidlaw told London's Central Criminal Court Abdulaziz there was evidence of a sexual assault, including bite marks on the victim's cheeks.
Laidlaw also said there was evidence that the 34-year-old royal, whose grandfather is a brother of the current Saudi king, had abused his aide in the past, showing jurors video shot in the Landmark's elevator which appears to show the shaven-headed prince, dressed in white, throwing his 32-year-old servant around and battering him.
Through decades of Communist isolation, Albanians had little reason to laugh.
Authorities imposed a ruthless ban on most forms of free expression, outlawed religion, overseas travel, and Western movies - making one curious exception.
British slapstick comedian Norman Wisdom was the only Western entertainer shown on Albanian television during the grim years under paranoid dictator Enver Hoxha, who ruled Albania from 1941 to 1985.
The acrobatic funnyman - who apparently amused Communist authorities with his portrayal of the downtrodden Englishman - died in Britain at the age of 95 on Monday after suffering a series of strokes.
Albanians, from the country's current leader to ordinary citizens who lived under Communism, paid tribute to the man who made them laugh.

In the Philippines, a land of passionate singers, taking on the national anthem is about to get a little more daunting -- get it wrong and you could land in jail for a couple of years and be fined more than $2,000.
A ban on the improper singing of Lupang Hinirang (Beloved Land) and unpatriotic displays of the Philippine flag is a Senate vote away from becoming law after the lower house voted 196-0 in favor of it on Monday.
"Our Congress has given more teeth to government's campaign to invigorate patriotism, respect and love of country by singing our anthem properly," Representative Salvador Escudero, the bill's principal author, told reporters.
He lamented that Filipino artists and singers had been changing the anthem's military march melody and beat, and that the flag had been made into shirts and short pants.
An artwork by Modernist master Marc Chagall became the most expensive contemporary Western painting sold in Asia when it was auctioned for $4.18 million after steady bidding in a Hong Kong sale.
Auction house Seoul Auction sold "Bestiaire et Musique," a 1969 oil painting typical of Chagall's whimsical style, to an unidentified Asian buyer.
The auctioneers said the work set a new record in a region increasingly wielding more influence in the global art market.
The Chagall painting, depicting a bride and a fiddler floating in a night sky amid circus performers and animals, was the star lot at Seoul Auction's Monday sale.

Sotheby's raised 7.1 million pounds ($11.2 million) at its evening Islamic art sale in London on Tuesday, comfortably above pre-auction estimates of 3.4-4.8 million pounds.
The top lot was an Abbasid luster pottery bowl dating from the second half of the 9th century which sold for 713,250 pounds.
It was followed by an illuminated Persian manuscript (601,250 pounds) and a leaf of gold-colored, 9-10th century script from the famous "Blue Koran" (529,250 pounds).
Sotheby's holds its main Islamic art auction on Wednesday, when it expects to raise more than 12 million pounds.
