Well, the ongoing lockdown has provided bootleggers with way more time than we need to mix new tracks. Sadly, this also grants anti-bootleggers more time to boycott mashups. If you know where to get them, you can find tons of super new tracks. If you're trying to locate them through search engines, that can be problematic. One producer pal I know recently lost his hosting membership, & even got booted off the top social media site. All for making & posting tracks that are legal as long as you don't sell them.
I, myself, find my audience shrinking around the rest of the world, but growing in the Americas. I'm sure glad I'm not in it for money, or fame. The fun is satisfying enough for me. Most bootleggers want cash & large audiences, as you can tell from these 5 cool new mashups I chose as demonstration examples. Now, let's take a look at these ambitious new audio blends. They're all tremendous appealing, imho.
Sure, it's only 5 tracks, but the quality is solid. My advice regarding mashups is find out which producers you like, & sign up to follow them. You might not like every thing they mix, but the odds are good you'll love many of them.
• When Stan Berenstain, co-creator with Jan, his wife, of the Berenstain Bears books, was a small child, he went into a room that had been newly wallpapered. Even at his young age, he knew that he enjoyed drawing, and facing a wall in desperate need of decorating and armed with a red crayon in his hand, he went to work. Unfortunately, the adults in the house were not appreciative of his decorating efforts, and since it was a time that not only allowed but also encouraged spanking, he ended up suffering for his art.
• After publishing his children's book And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, Dr. Seuss presented a program for 300 third-graders at Higbee's Department Store in Cleveland, Ohio. As part of the presentation, he drew several pictures. Unfortunately, the children did not respond to the drawings. Dr. Seuss asked, "Don't you like my drawing?" The children honestly replied, "No - Gus can draw better." Dr. Seuss invited Gus onto the stage to draw a picture - and yes, Gus did draw better than Dr. Seuss.
• Ezra Jack Keats once created a children's picture-book titled Pet Show! about a child who took a germ to enter in a pet show. Tori Bond of Shaker Heights, Ohio, read the book, and she decided to enter a pet show in which no cats or dogs were allowed. (Her "real" pet was a cat.) Therefore, she coughed in a jar and named her pet germ Ralph. In a letter to Mr. Keats, she wrote, "I won first prize for most unusual pet. A doctor told me that Ralph eats cells."
• Navaho artist R.C. "Rudy" Gorman was born prematurely. Because he was small and weak, his physician put him in an incubator to keep him warm and help him grow stronger. However, when his great-grandmother, a full-blooded Navajo, saw him in the incubator, she screamed, "Those crazy white people are killing your child!" She took Rudy away, fed him milk mixed with coffee, and soon the future artist grew big and strong without the incubator.
• When photographer Margaret Bourke-White was a little girl, she decided to attract some attention at her school, so she wrapped two pet snakes around her arms and took the snakes to school. The snakes created quite a sensation, especially a harmless puff adder that puffed out its neck and hissed at the children. Young Margaret had fun, but the principal told her not to bring snakes to school anymore.
• German artist Käthe Kollwitz once drew a portrait of herself and Peter, her seven-year-old son. The pose necessitated that she hold her son while drawing with one hand for long periods of time. This sometimes made her groan, but Peter would tell her, "Don't worry, Mother. It will be beautiful." In fact, the finished work of art is beautiful.
• Renaissance painter Giotto di Bondone created beautiful works of art, but he was ugly and his children were ugly. When Dante, author of The Divine Comedy, asked about this paradox, Giotto replied that his children were produced in the dark of night while his works of art were created in the light of day.
• One of American Impressionist Mary Cassatt's young nephews grew tired of posing for her, so he spat in her face. The boy's mother punished him by locking him in a closet, but Ms. Cassatt bought him some chocolates.
• Trevor Mark Sage-EL has a white mother and a black father. He is very creative, and when his teacher asked him to draw a self-portrait at school, he drew a yin-yang symbol, which is half-black and half-white.
In 1968, Richard Harris was the first to record this song, written and composed by Jimmy Webb. A subsequent version by Waylon Jenning won a Grammy, and Donna Summer's disco arrangement hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978. What is the title of this song?
This symbol, typically seen in graffiti, was known as "Mr Chad" or just "Chad" in the United Kingdom. Other names for the character include Smoe, Clem, Flywheel, Private Snoops, Overby, The Jeep, and Sapo. By what name is he more commonly known?
Kilroy was here is an American symbol that became popular during World War II, typically seen in graffiti. Its origin is debated, but the phrase and the distinctive accompanying doodle became associated with GIs in the 1940s: a bald-headed man (sometimes depicted as having a few hairs) with a prominent nose peeking over a wall with his fingers clutching the wall.
"Kilroy" was the American equivalent of the Australian Foo was here which originated during World War I. "Mr Chad" or just "Chad" was the version that became popular in the United Kingdom. The character of Chad may have been derived from a British cartoonist in 1938, possibly pre-dating "Kilroy was here". According to Dave Wilton, "Some time during the war, Chad and Kilroy met, and in the spirit of Allied unity merged, with the British drawing appearing over the American phrase." Other names for the character include Smoe, Clem, Flywheel, Private Snoops, Overby, The Jeep, and Sapo.
According to Charles Panati, "The outrageousness of the graffiti was not so much what it said, but where it turned up." It is not known if there was an actual person named Kilroy who inspired the graffiti, although there have been claims over the years.

The omnipresent overseer of random stuff was Kilroy.
Dave responded:
Kilroy. That was my correct guess. American G.I.s drew graffiti on walls using the Kilroy character with the text "Kilroy Was Here." Why? Don't ask me. Supposedly the Germans saw Kilroy written on captured American equipment and suspected it was code for something.
Deborah, the Master Gardener, replied:
I think that's Kilroy…as in "Kilroy was here" drawings (of which I doodle my fair share in school).
Our 13 lb. Schipperke, Stella, didn't like the way a German Shepherd dog was looking at her on yesterday morning's dog walk. She was on a sit-stay as the dog and his owner passed by, giving us a 20 yd. berth. Stella took off after it, jumped in its face, it picked her up, she yelped, it dropped her and she ran off. We didn't find her punctures until mid-afternoon. She has a 25 cm. subcutaneous wound with a drain for the next 3 days, and a cone, and a few stitches. Heart of a wolf, that one, and a surprising lack of common sense. She'll recover fine, and we're grateful that it was relatively minor. I feel bad for the woman and her GSD; they were minding their own business and enjoying a walk.
Never a dull moment in this house.

Muddy Waters' former house in Chicago will be renovated into a museum and community center, the Hyde Park Herald reported on Tuesday.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation has given a $50,000 grant to transform the six-time Grammy-winning blues musician's brick house - situated on 4339 S. Lake Park Ave. in the North Kenwood neighborhood of the city - into the Muddy Waters MOJO Museum. The grant arrives through the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund.
Led by Waters' great-granddaughter, Chandra Cooper, the MOJO renovation project will include a neighborhood museum attached to a community center. In addition to exhibits with a focus on Waters and the blues, the space will include a small venue, a recording studio, and a community garden.
"We want to be able to support older artists as well and as a small venue where people can go in the basement and do a little recording," Cooper told the Hyde Park Herald, "because while it wasn't a recording studio downstairs - it was a rehearsal studio - we'd like to incorporate that into the overall experience."
John Boyega shared with fans on social media that he is putting the "Star Wars" franchise behind him and eager to move on from his character Finn. Responding to fan demand to see Finn pop up in the next "Star Wars" movie (via Variety), Boyega wrote, "Lol no thank you. I've moved on." The actor added to another fan, "I'm not into playing one role for too long. I have more to offer than that. That's all." Boyega played Finn in three "Star Wars" films between 2015 and 2019.
While Boyega has been outspoken about his issues with the "Star Wars" franchise, he stressed the only reason he's disinterested in returning as Finn in the future is because he's played the character for so long. The actor said he's not against reprising characters as long as there's been enough time in between playing the role. One role he'd be keen on returning to is Moses in "Attack the Block." As Boyega told a fan, "I haven't played Moses in over a decade. I'd love to revisit him. Now he is a badass."
That Boyega found "Rise of Skywalker" to be a "fulfilling" experience suggested he liked the project more than his previous "Star Wars" movie, the Rian Johnson-directed "The Last Jedi." In an interview with Hypebeast just before the December 2019 release of "Rise of Skywalker," Boyega said he disagreed with many of the choices Johnson made in "The Last Jedi" script.
According to Deadline, Billy Eichner of On The Street fame is working with producer Tom McNulty to develop a biopic about Paul Lynde from Bye Bye Birdie, Bewitched, and (for many, many years) Hollywood Squares. The two of them have big plans for this, meaning it won't be a straightforward account of Lynde's life, with Eichner saying he doesn't want this to be like the biopics about gay icons that simply presents them as "martyrs" or "victims."
Instead, he wants the movie-Man In The Box-to show that Lynde was a complicated person whose career was very clearly held back both because of his sexuality (though he was never publicly "out") and his own personal issues. Eicher explains that Lynde spent years "waiting around" for someone to come along and write some great thing specifically for him and his sensibilities, but it never happened because the entertainment industry never rallied around him like it did for other talented funny people-despite the enormous amount of mainstream popularity he got from Hollywood Squares.
The Deadline piece actually features an extended interview with Eichner about this project and what drew him to Lynde, and he says he also wants to use it to illustrate how much work Hollywood still needs to do in terms of representation for gay actors. He notes that Elton John, Freddie Mercury, and Harvey Milk were played by straight actors in their biopics, with those straight actors being applauded for their performances, but Hollywood treats it like a joke when an actor who is typically presented as "flamboyant" or "effeminate" tries to play the opposite. He says he's heard stories in relatively recent times about actors who weren't "out" being turned down for major roles because studios thought they might come out someday, and he also mentions that the potential cast lists for the rom-com he's making with Judd Apatow consistently had tons of straight actors-or even exclusively straight actors-for gay characters.
Twitter announced Tuesday that it has begun taking sweeping actions to limit the reach of QAnon content, banning many of the conspiracy theory's followers because of problems with harassment and misinformation.
Twitter will stop recommending accounts and content related to QAnon, including material in email and follow recommendations, and it will take steps to limit circulation of content in features like trends and search. The action will affect about 150,000 accounts, said a spokesperson, who asked to remain unnamed because of concerns about the targeted harassment of social media employees.
The spokesperson said that as part of its new policy, the company had taken down more than 7,000 QAnon accounts in the last few weeks for breaking its rules on targeted harassment.
The sweeping enforcement action will ban QAnon-related terms from appearing in trending topics and the platform's search feature, ban known QAnon-related URLs and prohibit "swarming" of people who are baselessly targeted by coordinated harassment campaigns pushed by QAnon followers.
Botswana's elephants are literally dropping dead. Hundreds of elephant carcasses have been found scattered across a remote, narrow region of the north - and poaching isn't to blame.
The mystery has dragged on for months, and experts say the slow response to the deaths has shed light on deeper issues in the country's relationship with the prized creatures.
The carcasses of at least 67 adult elephants were found in May, the acting permanent secretary of Botswana's Environment Ministry, Oduetse Koboto, said at a news conference Friday. Aerial surveys of the Okavango Delta, a wetland near the Namibian border, have confirmed 281 deaths, although as many as 356 carcasses have been reported.
While not heavily populated, the area is "overstuffed" with elephants, Pieter Kat, director of the U.K.-based conservation group LionAid, said in an interview. That's because - compared to neighboring Zimbabwe, Angola and Namibia - Botswana has long prohibited hunting and has been a leader in anti-poaching efforts.
"Wherever these elephants went when they stepped out of Botswana, they were either poached or killed or they were shot by hunters, so no wonder they concentrated back into northern Botswana," Kat said.
A veteran-owned brewery in Freeport, Maine, has cancelled a campaign event for president Donald Trump (R-Grifter) that was to be headlined by his daughter-in-law.
The owners said they had been misled and were unaware it was an official campaign event and will close the brewery for the day instead.
Ex-Marine Brad Nadeau and his wife Nancy, the owners of Stars and Stripes Brewing, were alerted by an article in The Bangor Daily News that cited a campaign news release listing the brewery as the first stop on a "Woman For Trump" bus tour.
Planned for Wednesday, the Nadeaus had been told that members of the campaign, including Lara Trump (R-Fucks Eric), would be coming in for a beer and would get pizza from a neighbouring restaurant.
After being deluged with negative comments online, Mr Nadeau, an Iraq War veteran, called the campaign and cancelled the event on Tuesday.
The ancient skeleton of a man thrown face-down into a ditch with his hands bound in front of him has been unearthed just outside of London. The man may have been the victim of an Iron Age murder or execution.
Though archaeologists aren't certain how the man died, his strange burial has them suspecting foul play was involved more than 2,500 years ago.
His hands were found together and trapped beneath his pelvis, though any bindings have now rotted away. He didn't have a grave, and archaeologists found no sign of a coffin.
"He seems to have had his hands tied, and he was face-down in the bottom of the ditch," said archaeologist Rachel Wood, who led the excavation for the high-speed rail developer HS2. "There are not many ways that you end up that way."
The Lassen Wolf Pack, believed to be the only known wolf family remaining in California, gave birth to a new litter of pups for the fourth year in a row in 2020.
The new litter has at least eight pups, bringing the pack's total to 14 members. Others in the pack include a mother, father and four "subadult wolves" from the pack's prior litters.
"These little ones give hope to everyone who wants to see wolves reestablished in the places these beautiful animals once called home," said Amaroq Weiss, a senior wolf advocate at the Center for Biological Diversity who made the announcement Monday.
The pups' father joined the pack recently after the pack's first breeding male disappeared last summer, according to the center. The original pack father was a gray-colored wolf who hasn't been since June 2019.
Of this year's eight pups, at least four are males and two are females, genetic testing shows. Testing established that the black adult male wolf is the father of this latest litter. Experts are trying to determine his pack of origin, according to the center.
