Audioboots 90s Mashups For You

Audioboots
( audioboots.com )
Mashup Forum collection is released. The 90s theme proved quite popular with the potential contributors resulting in three "discs" worth of new mixes. On this compilation, you'll discover 40 mashups by 20 bootleggers, each containing at least one 90s source artist. In a refection of the popular 90s styles, there are tracks on this that combine Rock, Pop, Rap, & more.
The skilled French bootlegger & Audioboots Super Moderator Chocomang helmed this new release. He did nearly everything solo while I rode out a fierce virus. His take on the details is mighty rewarding. For only one instance, Chocomang divided the tracks into three files. One is Dance, two is Rock, & three is Pop Rock and more. In addition to the audio files, you'll find many covers, text files, & whets. In the style of most mashup albums, there's no charge for the download. Truly a great bargain.
So many popular home producers dwell on this release, that it's no surprise the tracks give high thrills. When I got the final zip, ( I went for the flac version ) I spent the rest of the evening jamming to it. Sure, I liked my represented tracks, but all of the rest pleased me completely, too. There's creations from SMASH, Spider, AtoZ, Satis5d, DJ MXR, & oh so many more. The international spread of contributors yields large success, I say. The combos include pairings such as the Pet Shop Boys vs Erasure vs Angels & Airwaves, Red Hot Chili Peppers vs Beck, Ace Of Base vs Ed Sheeran, & enough in addition to keep you listening for weeks.

Next weeks article subject from me is a surprise, but I'll tell you that on the Summer Solstice the latest "Summer Booty : The Summer Mashup Collection" will thrill you all.

Marc's Guide to Curing Cancer
So far so good on beating cancer for now. I'm doing fine. At the end of the month I'll be 16 months into an 8 month mean lifespan. And yesterday I went on a 7 mile hike and managed to keep up with the hiking group I was with. So, doing something right.
Still waiting for future test results and should see things headed in the right direction. I can say that it's not likely that anything dire happens in the short term so that means that I should have time to make several more attempts at this. So even if it doesn't work the first time there are a lot of variations to try. So if there's bad news it will help me pick the next radiation target.
I have written a "how to" guide for oncologists to perform the treatment that I got. I'm convinced that I'm definitely onto something and whether it works for me or not isn't the definitive test. I know if other people tried this that it would work for some of them, and if they improve it that it will work for a lot of them.
The guide is quite detailed and any doctor reading this can understand the procedure at every level. I also go into detail as to how it works, how I figured it out, and variations and improvements that could be tried to enhance it. I also introduce new ways to look at the problem. There is a lot of room for improvement and I think that doctors reading it will see what I'm talking about and want to build on it. And it's written so that if you're not a doctor you can still follow it. It also has a personal story revealing that I'm the class clown of cancer support group. I give great interviews and I look pretty hot in a lab coat.
So, feel free to read this and see what I'm talking about. But if any of you want to help then pass this around to both doctors and cancer patients. I need some media coverage. I'm looking for as many eyeballs as possible to read these ideas. Even if this isn't the solution, it's definitely on the right track. After all, I did hike 7 miles yesterday. And this hiking group wasn't moving slow. So if this isn't working then, why am I still here?
I also see curing cancer as more of an engineering problem that a medical problem. So if you are good at solving problems and most of what you know about medicine was watching the Dr. House MD TV show, then you're at the level I was at when I started. So anyone can jump in and be part of the solution.

Jordan Peele
Amazon has signed a deal with Jordan Peele, the New York Timesreports, that, going forward, will give the company a first look at any new TV series coming out of Peele's Monkeypaw Productions company. The move extends an ongoing relationship between the two companies as Amazon has already ordered two series from Peele and Monkeypaw. Last month, Amazon snagged the rights to The Hunt -- a drama about a group of people who decide to hunt down hundreds of Nazi officials planning a Fourth Reich in the US. And in April, it bought a Monkeypaw-produced documentary series about Lorena Bobbitt.
"Jordan, Win Rosenfeld and the Monkeypaw team represent the ideal creative collaboration as we continue to ramp up original, culturally relevant and riveting television," Amazon Studios Head Jennifer Salke said in a statement. "Our Lorena Bobbitt documentary and series order for The Hunt represent just the start of what will be a prolific and exciting relationship with Monkeypaw."
Peele, who signed a first-look deal with Universal Pictures last year for films, has a number of projects lined up including a Twilight Zone reboot and a stop-motion animated film. "I couldn't be more excited about this new relationship with Amazon," Peele said about the new deal. "They've been a fantastic partner to Monkeypaw over the last year because they're committed to the same kind of fun and culturally-relevant television we are."

Daughter Says
Patti Davis
Patti Davis, the daughter of former President Ronald Reagan, imagined what her father would think of current President Donald Trump. And she didn't hold back.
In a letter posted Sunday in The Washington Post to mark Tuesday's June 5 anniversary of her father's death, Davis wrote that her dad would have condemned Trump's abuse of power and incendiary rhetoric.
"He would be appalled and heartbroken at a Congress that refuses to stand up to a president who not only seems ignorant of the Constitution but who also attempts at every turn to dismantle and mock our system of checks and balances," she wrote.
"He would plead with Americans to recognize that the caustic, destructive language emanating from our current president is sullying the dream that America once was," she added. "And in a time of increased tensions in the world, playing verbal Russian roulette is not leadership, it's madness." Davis also scolded Trump for his "verbal violence" when he was a nominee.
Davis, 65, noted in her Washington Post letter that her father didn't always like the press but he wouldn't have "relentlessly" cast the media as the enemy. While never mentioning Trump by name, she also took a swipe at his immigration policies. "He believed in laws," Davis wrote of Reagan. "He hated cruelty."

Vicious Attacks From 'Star Wars' Trolls
Kelly Marie Tran
Kelly Marie Tran, who played Resistance fighter Rose Tico in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, delighted fans with her adorable Instagram account.
But over the weekend, the actress deleted all of her posts, after months of online racial and sexual harassment.
The page is still active, but there are now zero posts for her 190,000 followers.
After Tran, who is Vietnamese-American, became a breakout star of the second movie of the new Star Wars trilogy, which paired her romantically with John Boyega (Finn), she was targeted with abuse on Instagram and Twitter and other online platforms. For example, her entry in the Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki, was edited to include offensive remarks and racial slurs.
Fellow Star Wars leading lady Daisy Ridley also deleted her Instagram account in 2017 and never returned, after becoming the victim of harassment and abuse over a remark she made about gun control in the U.S.

Scraps Swimsuit
Miss America
The Miss America pageant will no longer make contestants wear swimsuits and evening gowns as part of the competition, it has been announced.
The judges will not be placing any emphasis on the physical appearances of the women who take part, in an effort to make them feel more empowered.
"We are no longer a pageant," said Gretchen Carlson, chair of the Board of Trustees of the Miss America Organisation and former winner of Miss America, on Good Morning America. "We are a competition."
Instead of including a swimsuit portion in the competition, contestants will take part in a live interactive session with the judges, during which they'll be be asked to explain their passion, intellect and comprehension of the responsibilities that come with being crowned Miss America.
Rather than wearing evening gowns, the participants will be asked to don an outfit that makes them feel confident in themselves and expresses their personal sense of style.

Done 'The Best We Can'
White House
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders defended the Trump administration's response to last year's hurricanes in Puerto Rico Tuesday. Sanders said the government's reaction "was at a historic proportion" in response to a question from Yahoo News about whether President Trump still felt he deserved a perfect score for handling the damage in light of a new study that estimated nearly 5,000 people died in the storm's aftermath.
"The federal response once again was at a historic proportion. We're continuing to work with the people of Puerto Rico and do the best we can to provide federal assistance, particularly working with the governor there in Puerto Rico, and will continue to do so," Sanders said.
Sanders ignored a follow-up question about whether the White House had "any concern" about the death toll.
A Harvard study released last month estimated that 4,645 people died from the conditions that followed the storms, but the researchers said it could be as few as 800 or as many as 8,500; the estimate was approximately the midpoint of that range. Others, including the government of Puerto Rico and the New York Times, have estimated about 1,000 people died in the aftermath of the storm.
The official death toll from the storm is 64.

National Marine Monument
As scientists and conservationists convene this week to discuss protecting the oceans, the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts National Marine Monument off the New England coast - the only national marine monument in the U.S. Atlantic - is, well, up in the air.
All United Nations member states, including the ones without a coastline, will celebrate World Oceans Day on Friday. Scientists, conservationists and educators are mounting campaigns, initiatives and special events at aquariums, zoos, schools, beachfronts and recreational centers to teach the public about humankind's impact on the oceans, hoping to build a global movement for sustainability. Among the most important is the Capitol Hill Ocean Week conference, kicking off Tuesday in Washington.
President Trump's perfunctory statement proclaiming June National Ocean Month was not as threatening as conservationists expected, but its emphasis was unsurprisingly on using the ocean as a resource rather than protecting it. He argued that the U.S. exclusive economic zone - which extends 200 miles from the shoreline - is underutilized.
"We will streamline regulations and administrative practices to promote economic growth, while protecting our marine environment for current and future generations," the White House statement said. "We will also create new opportunities for American products in the global marketplace, including through continued support of our commercial fisheries and promotion of domestic aquaculture."
But the White House, which is bogged down by the Russia probe and internal conflict, has not acted on Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's official recommendation in December to reduce or eliminate the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts National Marine Monument and open it to commercial exploitation.
