By ToToM w/DJ Useo
ToToM
( totom.eu/ ) is an internationally famous French home producer. Over the past years, he’s established himself as a highly-skilled bootlegger with many popular releases.
Here is “With Boots”
( totom.bandcamp.com/album/with-boots ) , made of tracks from “With Teeth”, Nine Inch Nails' great album, mashed up with contemporary (and some older) pop/rock... artists. The result of songs mixed this way are often called bootlegs or boots in case you're asking yourself why I gave my project this name.
all songs originally written by Trent Reznor.
every remix by ToToM produced between 2005 and 2006.

Anecdotes
Advertising
• The maternal grandmother of Marlo Thomas, star of TV’s That Girl, was also the mother-in-law of Danny Thomas, star of TV’s Make Room for Daddy. She had a beer-garden band called Marie’s Merry Music Makers in which she played the drums. No fool, during the week she billed herself as “Danny Thomas’s Mother-in-Law,” but to get a younger crowd during the weekend she billed herself as “Marlo Thomas’s Grandmother.”
• Adman Jerry Della Femina once wrote a best-seller titled From Those Wonderful Folks Who Brought You Pearl Harbor. As a young man, he had proposed that title as the slogan for a new Japanese product, but older people who were more experienced in advertising promptly shot it down. Mr. Femina also once created a controversial ad for condoms. Its slogan was this: “I enjoy sex, but I’m not willing to die for it.”
• Word-of-mouth advertising can work. African-American diva Ellabelle Davis (1907-1960) performed her first concert in Mexico City in 1945. At the beginning of the concert, few people were in the audience. However, during intermission, the audience went out into the streets and told friends and neighbors that a new star had arrived. By the end of Ms. Davis’ concert, the concert was standing room only.
Advice
• David J. Pollay was a passenger in the back of a New York City taxicab when another car nearly caused a major collision that could have sent Mr. Pollay and the taxi driver to the hospital. The driver of the other car, who was definitely at fault, shouted obscenities at the taxi driver. However, the taxi driver simply smiled and waved at the obscenity-shouting man, and he did this without anger or sarcasm. Mr., Pollay was impressed and asked why he had done that. The taxi driver explained, “Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they look for a place to dump it. And if you let them, they’ll dump it on you. So when someone wants to dump on you, don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Believe me. You’ll be happier.” Mr. Pollay says, “What about you? What would happen in your life, starting today, if you let more garbage trucks pass you by? Here’s my bet: You’ll be happier.”
• An advisor to a king had to leave on an important mission. Before he left, the advisor asked the king if he would believe a man who told him that a tiger was in the street. The king replied, “No.” The advisor then asked the king if he would believe two men who told him that a tiger was in the street. The king replied, “No.” The advisor then asked the king if he would believe three men who told him that a tiger was in the street. This time, the king replied, “Yes.” The advisor then said, “It takes the reports of only three men to convince you of something. Many more than three men are in your court. Be careful whom you believe while I am gone.”
• Kevin Session believes in having a good barber. According to him, “A good barber is like a good lady; once you find the right one, hold on tight.” Once, his barber — a good one — changed shops. The barbers still remaining would not tell him where his barber was now working because they wanted his business. For a few weeks, he hunted for his barber, in the meantime enduring bad barbers and bad haircuts. When he finally located his barber, he told him, “Now, don’t you do that again, brother. Where you go, I go.”
Alcohol
• The Hasidim loved Israel. Rabbi Yohanan of Rachmistrivska once owned a bottle of wine that had been bottled in Israel, but he declined to drink the wine, “I do not know whether I will like this particular bottle of wine. Since I do not want, heaven forbid, to disparage something that comes from Eretz Israel, I would rather not drink the bottle.” Rabbi Avraham Hazan immigrated to Eretz Israel from Uman, and each year he would travel to Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year). He always took a bottle of Israeli wine with him, and he always made sure it lasted him until he returned to Israel. Whenever he drank wine, he drank wine bottled from outside of Israel, but he put just a little of the Israeli wine in the glass so that the wine would have some of sanctity of Eretz Israel.

Ukrainian Band Teams Up With Ed Sheeran
Antytila
“The sirens interrupted our sleep, grabbed in two suitcases everything that is in the past, then go!” sings Antytila frontman Taras Topolia on the Ukrainian band’s new collaboration with Ed Sheeran.
It’s a reworked version of Sheeran’s hit single “2step.” Topolia has added a new verse and created a video to promote the remix. The version was released Monday.
Antytila formed a friendship with Sheeran via social media, after they tweeted the British singer- songwriter ahead of his headlining performance at “Concert for Ukraine” in the U.K. in April.
While the Ukrainian band was unable to perform remotely at the event, Sheeran invited Antytila to team up with him on “2step.”

Violin Could Fetch $20 Million
‘Wizard of Oz’
A 300-year-old violin, reputed to have been played on the Oscar-winning “Wizard of Oz” score, will go on the auction block next month and could fetch as much as $20 million.
The rare Stradivarius belonged to Odessa-born Toscha Seidel, widely considered one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century, famed for his rich tone and emotional intensity.
Estimates are that the violin could bring between $16 million and $20 million at auction, partly because of its excellent condition and partly because of its history. There are about 600 Stradivarius violins in existence worldwide; the highest price paid for a Strad was $15.9 million in 2011, so the Seidel instrument could mark a new world record.
Seidel made his American debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall in 1918 and toured the U.S., Europe and Australia throughout the 1920s. He was a frequent performer on New York-based CBS Radio in the early 1930s but moved to California in 1938 to pursue more lucrative movie studio work.

Altered Report
Homeland Security
Former Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Chad Wolf delayed and changed an intelligence report warning of Russian interference in the 2020 election due to concerns it would “hurt” former President Trump, according to an investigation by the department’s inspector general office.
The watchdog’s office said it interviewed an individual in the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) “who told us the Acting Secretary asked the product be held because it made President Trump look bad and hurt President Trump’s campaign — the concept that Russia was denigrating candidate Biden would be used against President Trump.” The product, titled “Russia Likely to Denigrate Health of US Candidates to Influence 2020 Electoral Dynamics,” was first being drafted in April 2020 after then-candidate Biden had assumed frontrunner status in the Democratic primary.
That summer, the investigation found, employees in the department’s Intelligence and Analysis office “changed the product’s scope by making changes that appear to be based in part on political considerations, raising objectivity concerns and potentially impacting.”
“Additionally,” it continues, “the Acting Secretary participated in the review process multiple times despite lacking any formal role in reviewing the product, resulting in the delay of its dissemination on at least one occasion.”
These findings align with a whistleblower report from Sept. 2020 filed by Brian Murphy, the former principal deputy undersecretary in DHS’s I&A office. Murphy alleged that DHS leaders including Wolf, former Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, and senior official Ken Cuccinelli not only minimized Russian influence in the election, but fabricated data relating to the U.S.-Mexico border wall and downplayed the threat of white supremacy. Murphy also claimed retaliation by his superiors after he raised these concerns.

Border Wall
Results
Donald Trump The unindicted conspirator’s “impenetrable” border wall has resulted in increased migrant deaths and devastating injuries from falling, according to a new study that analyzed the effect of the new barriers on a southern California hospital.
The wall has been far from Trump the grifter’s promise of being “virtually impenetrable” – smugglers breached what he called the “Rolls-Royce” of barriers more than 3,000 times since its construction. Though the former president said his wall “can’t be climbed”, migrants have continued scaling the barrier, facing great peril. Last month a woman died while attempting to scale the wall in eastern Arizona after her leg became trapped in a climbing harness and she was left hanging upside down.
A study, published in the Jama surgery journal on Friday, found an unprecedented increase in the number of falls from the border wall in San Diego and Imperial counties. The report is one of the first efforts to calculate the effects of Trump’s wall on migrants, according to the Washington Post, as federal officials don’t track deaths and injuries related to falls from the barrier.
The University of California San Diego trauma center, which treats patients with border wall injuries, saw a five-time increase in the number of people admitted with falling injuries from 67 cases between 2016 and 2018 to 375 cases between 2019 and 2021. During that same time, the number of deaths rose from zero to 16, according to the report, which cites data from the San Diego county medical examiner’s office.

Sony Rejects China’s Demand
‘Spider-Man'
In China, films are reviewed by the China Film Administration under the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). According to multiple sources who spoke to Puck, Chinese authorities initially wanted Sony and Marvel Studios to take out the American landmark, which is prominently featured during the film's third act.
Chinese regulators reportedly modified the original request to remove the action-packed sequence, instead asking for the removal of certain shots from the sequence that they deemed too “patriotic,” such as the scenes where Tom Holland’s Spider-Man stands on the Statue of Liberty’s crown. The regulators also suggested dimming the parts when the statue is shown to make it less noticeable.
Sony ultimately rejected the request, resulting in Chinese authorities preventing the latest Spider-Man film from being released in the biggest film market in the world. The film lost a potential $170 million-$340 million in sales from China, according to reports.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming,” the first film in the latest Spider-Man trilogy, earned around $117 million – 13.3% of its global earnings – in China in 2017. Its sequel, 2019’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” generated around $204.9 million – 18.25% of its global earnings – in the region.

Meteorites Scattered Across State
Mississippi
A flaming meteor that blazed across three southern U.S. states April 27 has left rocky remnants scattered across parts of Mississippi, where residents are collecting them.
The meteorite fragments seem to have turned up not far from Natchez, Mississippi, though officials have declined to identify the exact locations where they have been found, NASA Meteor Watch reported in a Facebook post.
After reanalyzing data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's GOES 16 and 17 satellites, the team determined the space rock was zooming through the sky at about 35,000 mph (56,000 km/h) when it exploded, much lower than the 55,000 mph (88,500 km/h) initially estimated, according to the Facebook post.
And it's finders keepers when it comes to extraterrestrial rocks.
