The group's string of hits included "Come and Get These Memories", "Heat Wave", "Quicksand", "Nowhere to Run", "Jimmy Mack", "Bless You" and "Dancing in the Street", the latter song becoming their signature single. Horror master Stephen King says Donald Trump's (R-Crooked) latest activity on Twitter reveals much about the president's mind.
On Sunday, Trump retweeted a GIF that was doctored to make it seem like he had hit a golf ball at Hillary Clinton and knocked her over. It wasn't lost on King that Trump retweeted a user named "Fuctupmind."
King has been sharply critical of Trump on social media, both during the campaign and since the inauguration. Last year, he compared Trump to Cthulhu, one of the Great Old Ones created by early 20th-century horror author H.P. Lovecraft. Since the election, King hasn't let up. During the spring, he said Trump having access to the nuclear codes was "worse than any horror story I ever wrote."
The president can't seem to take the Firestarter author's heat. Earlier this year, Trump blocked King on Twitter.
But King hasn't let up. Last month, he mockingly "banned" Trump from seeing the film "It," which was based on his best-selling book. The movie has been number one at the box office for two weeks in a row, and is now the highest-grossing September release of all time.

A trillion-ton iceberg more than twice the size of London has split from the Antarctic and is adrift at sea, according to a scientist's report.
Satellite images show the glacial mass - dubbed A68 - broke away from the Larsen C ice shelf on a peninsula on the frozen continent and is adrift in the adjacent Weddell Sea.
It is forecast to be swept north by currents and would pass south of the UK overseas territories of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Island in the southern Atlantic Ocean.
It is first expected to fragment into smaller pieces before being sucked back into swirling currents and eventually breaking down in warmer waters.
The iceberg broke away from the Larsen C ice shelf in July - the third to split from the Antarctic in just over two decades - sparking fears it could break up completely within years.
There's yet another doomsday date approaching, with some claiming that the rapture will start on Saturday.
That's when certain Christians will get sucked up (naked) into heaven while the Earth descends into a chaotic "tribulation" period for those who are left.
But don't stock up on Jim Bakker's doomsday food buckets just yet. The entire basis for the prediction is bunk. The September rapture date came from a Christian researcher named David Meade who calculated it would occur 33 days after last month's eclipse, The Washington Post reported.
"Jesus lived for 33 years. The name Elohim, which is the name of God to the Jews, was mentioned 33 times [in the Bible]," Meade told the newspaper. "It's a very biblically significant, numerologically significant number. I'm talking astronomy. I'm talking the Bible … and merging the two."
Meade believes global catastrophes will be caused by a secret planet called Nibiru passing the Earth on Saturday. The world won't end, "but the world as we know it is ending," he told the Post.
International traffickers have tried many ways to smuggle African rhino horns to Asia, concealing them inside wooden Buddha statues, stashing horn pieces in lobster heads kept in a refrigerated container and disguising horn portions as the bases of painted statues.
Now, conservationists say, some criminal groups are processing rhino horns into powder and trinkets in South Africa before export, a trend that could reflect changing consumer tastes and make it harder for law enforcement to intercept the illegal cargo.
The development highlights the difficulty of countering criminal syndicates, some of which include Chinese nationals, which show versatility in the face of periodic anti-poaching successes by security officials, who have reported confiscations of intact rhino horns at the main international airport in Johannesburg in past months. South Africa, which has about 80 percent of the continent's rhinos, has experienced record levels of poaching in the past decade.
Recent investigations by South African police discovered small, home-based workshops where rhino horns were cut into small pieces, beads and bracelets, or packaged as powder, TRAFFIC, a wildlife trade monitoring network, said in an analysis released Monday. The development will test overstretched law enforcement agencies if traffickers expand such operations, and growing evidence that swindlers are making fake rhino horn products out of cow horns adds to the challenge, the report said.
"If someone walks through an airport wearing a necklace made of rhino horn, who's going to stop them?" said Julian Rademeyer, who co-wrote the report and is the author of "Killing for Profit," a book about the illegal rhino horn trade.
The Senate has overwhelmingly approved a sweeping defense policy bill that would pump $700 billion into the military-industrial complex, putting the U.S. armed forces on track for a budget greater than at any time during the decade-plus wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Senators passed the legislation by an 89-8 vote Monday. The measure authorizes $700 billion in military spending for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1, expands U.S. missile defenses in response to North Korea's growing hostility and refuses to allow excess military bases to be closed.
The 1,215-page measure defies a number of White House objections, but President-for-now Donald Trump (R-Tiny Penis) hasn't threatened to veto the measure. The bill helps him honor a pledge to rebuild an American military that he said had become depleted on former President Barack Obama's watch.

Israel on Monday inaugurated with its US ally a joint missile defence base on Israeli soil, the first ever, a senior Israeli air force officer said.
The new facility, at an undisclosed location in southern Israel, was announced as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was due to meet US President Donald Trump in New York on the fringes of the UN General Assembly.
"We inaugurated, with our partners from the United States Army, an American base, for the first time in Israel," Brigadier General Tzvika Heimowitz, head of Israeli missile defences, told journalists.
"An American flag is flying permanently over a US army base situated inside one of our bases."
Heimowitz said the move was not a direct response to any specific incident or immediate threat, but was a combination of "lessons learned" in the 2014 war in Gaza and intelligence analysis of future dangers.
President-for-now Donald Trump (R-Draft Dodger) announced Monday that he wants to showcase America's military power with an Independence Day parade of martial assets down Pennsylvania Avenue, inspired by the two-hour display he witnessed in Paris on Bastille Day.
"We're actually thinking about Fourth of July, Pennsylvania Avenue, having a really great parade to show our military strength," Trump said as he met with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly . Trump said he was discussing such an event with White House chief of staff John Kelly, and added: "We'll see if we can do it this year, but we certainly will be beginning to do that."
In Paris on July 14, Trump had watched raptly for two hours as French and American troops marched past a VIP reviewing stand on the city's fabled Champs-Élysées avenue. Armored personnel carriers, tanks and missile launchers had rumbled past while scores of military jets and helicopters roared through the sky.
"It was one of the greatest parades I've ever seen," Trump said Monday. "It was military might, and I think a tremendous thing for France, for the spirit of France, and people don't know what great warriors they are in France."

Starts First UN Speech By Promoting One Of His Buildings

Donald Trump (R-Corrupt) has begun his first speech to the United Nation's General Assembly with a plug for one of the many properties with his name on the building, just across the street.
"I actually saw great potential right across the street, to be honest with you, and it was only for the reason that the United nations was here that that turned out to be such a successful project," Mr Trump said just after thanking those attending the meeting on UN reform.
The tower has also been used for staging during filming for some episodes of Mr Trump's television show The Apprentice, which was first aired during the winter and spring of 2004. Mr Trump hosted that show franchise for 14 years before leaving to run for President.
But, while Mr Trump has boasted that he actually owns the skyscraper, a report by Bloomberg just after his election noted that his interests in the building are residual at this point.
Bloomberg has also noted that construction in the building relied at least in part on condominium sales to individuals with ties to former Soviet republics. That included big buyers from Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, according to the sales agent who filled the tower.
Malaysia has canned an annual craft beer festival in its capital Kuala Lumpur after an Islamist party warned it would turn the city into "the biggest centre of vice in Asia".
Drinking alcohol is common among the large ethnic minorities in Muslim-majority Malaysia but there have been a growing number of protests against activities and events seen as un-Islamic by politicians and hardliners.
But last week the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), which often protests events seen as against Islam, warned the event could lead to criminal acts, free sex and rape.
The organisers Monday announced "with disappointment" that the festival would not go ahead after city officials instructed them to cancel it due to licensing issues and "the political sensitivity surrounding the event".
