'A NICE COLD BEER'
{Sung to 'Amazing Grace'}
{As Sung By The Bush Twins}
A nice cold beer, how sweet the sound
We just turned twenty-one
We finished six, still need our fix
Some more beer for us twins!
We love our dad, we love our beer
But if we had to choose
Our dear old dad, who we love so much
Would undoubtedly lose!
A nice cold beer, how sweet the sound
We just turned twenty-one
We finished twelve, from off dad's shelf
Some more beer for us twins!
As you can tell, we love our beer
We're such a drunk, you see
When we fall down, drink our next round
Some more beer for us twins!
Some more beer for us twins!...

In The Chaos Household
Last Night
Looked like rain most of the day, but, didn't get a drop.
Night before last Ginger, the cross-eyed cat, went out & has yet to come back. He's a big orange Siamese with the bluest of blue crossed-eyes. This
is the longest he's been missing. So far as what seems to be his less-than-macho name, I grew up with guys with ethnic names like Bruno & Gennaro. Gennaro was
always called 'Ginger' and nobody messed with Ginger. Seemed appropriate.

Anti-Gypsy?
'The Simpsons'
An episode of the American television cartoon "The Simpsons" reinforces Hungarian prejudices against its Roma or gypsy population, a rights official has said.
In a letter to the ViaSat3 commercial channel, Hungary's minority ombudsman said one episode of the satirical animated show featured a Roma character who proves his
ethnic origin to a school inspector by saying: "I will drink your blood."
ViaSat3, which broadcast the episode, said that while the Hungarian language dubbing followed the original to the letter, translation in such cases could
soften "offensive stereotypical expressions."
The ombudsman examined the case after a private individual complained, the Roma Press Center said Wednesday.
The Roma are Hungary's largest minority, making up about 5 percent of the central European nation's population of about 10 million.

Tape to Be Auctioned
Bob Marley
A reel-to-reel audiotape of Bob Marley playing with musician Jimmy Norman will be sold at auction next month in New York City, Christie's auction house said.
Marley met Norman during a visit to Manhattan in early 1968. Eight songs they played together in Norman's Bronx apartment are on the tape. Marley plays guitar and
Norman plays piano. Marley's wife, Rita, and Norman's wife, Dorothy, sing backup.
The tape includes "I'm Hurting Inside," a hit for The Wailers, the group Marley co-founded with Bunny Wailer.
Christie's will auction the tape Dec. 20, along with other memorabilia such as items bearing the signatures of The Beatles, and clothing worn by Elvis Presley
in the movies "Speedway" and "Double Trouble," she said.
Norman, 65, said he found the tape in his Manhattan apartment in June. Two months ago, he approached Christie's to sell it.

'Enhanced' Reality TV?
Kelly & Jack Osbourne
Just as the much-anticipated second season of "The Osbournes" got underway last night, Kelly and Jack Osbourne say MTV staged several scenes of last season's hit reality show.
On yesterday's "Good Morning America," they mentioned two incidents as having been created for dramatic and comedic effect.
"The most fake thing about that show was that family meeting, because that was an MTV idea," Kelly said, alluding to a pivotal scene in which Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon sat
down for a frank chat with their kids - with Jack ultimately storming out of the room.
"Yeah, the dog and the dog therapist, that was an MTV thing," Jack added.
In one of last season's more memorable episodes, Sharon called in a doggie shrink to deal with her brood of unruly pooches, who were pooping in the family's new Beverly Hills mansion.
"I put that, in my contract, I would not do anything like that f****** dog therapist," Kelly added. "Move on. It's retarded."

Says He Doesn't Like Pop Music
Michael Jackson
Pop star Michael Jackson, who has sold more than 210 million records in his career, made an astonishing revelation in a rare interview published in a German magazine Wednesday -- "I don't like pop music."
Jackson was explaining to Bunte magazine why he bought two classical music compact discs, but no pop, during a shopping excursion in Berlin last week while in the city to accept a German television
pop artist lifetime achievement award.
Jackson had a busy week in Berlin visiting tourist sites, meeting poor families, attending charity auctions -- and getting caught up in controversy for dangling his baby son out of a hotel window.
Jackson also dismissed criticism about covering the faces of his children with veils -- believed to be an attempt to thwart potential kidnappers -- as they toured Berlin's zoo.
"They love the Spiderman scarves," Jackson said. "They've seen the film a dozen times. It's terrible. I know the whole film by heart myself. I try to vary the film program by showing them Disney films.
But they only want to see Spiderman."
Jackson, who Bunte, a weekly celebrity magazine, said was wearing a touch of makeup and lipstick for the interview in the Adlon Hotel, said his children were only allowed to take home two presents from Berlin.
"But Playstations or computers are not allowed in the house," he said, adding that he reads his children fairy tales during breakfast. "And they're only allowed to watch television when I'm around."

'Providence'
Jeff Zucker, NBC's entertainment president, said he's reconsidering his decision in October to cancel the drama after four years.
Last week, "Providence" ranked 41st among primetime shows but has been losing younger viewers whom advertisers favor. Zucker didn't say how well the show would have to perform to be renewed.
A two-hour episode, intended to be the series finale, will air Dec. 20. It's now simply being labeled a "finale," Zucker said. He noted that star Melina Kanakaredes will be handling another role soon — she's due to give birth.

Urge Death for Fugitive Reporter
New 'Fatwa'
The threat of more sectarian strife hung over Nigeria after a northern state announced a "fatwa" decree urging Muslims to kill a reporter whose story on the Miss World pageant sparked deadly riots.
More than 200 people died in violence in the northern city of Kaduma over the story Muslims said blasphemed against the Prophet Mohammed.
The conservative state of Zamfara, the first of a dozen regional governments in the north to introduce strict Islamic sharia law, said on Tuesday it had told Muslims in a fatwa judgment that it was their
religious duty to kill Isioma Daniel, a young female reporter in her early 20s who wrote the story in Nigeria's This Day daily newspaper.
Colleagues said the reporter had fled to the United States.

Huge Spider Web
A biology professor in northern British Columbia has spotted a clover field crawling with spiders.
Brian Thair of the College of New Caledonia in Prince George said he saw a silky, white web stretching 60 acres across a field.
"When you see horror movies with spider web festooned from this place to that place and so on, it comes nowhere near approaching what occurred in this field,"
Thair told CBC Radio's As It Happens.
A typical barbwire fence on wood posts surrounded the field about six kilometres east of McBride in the Robson Valley. Thair said it looked like the whole area
was covered with an opaque, white plastic grocery store bag.
The thin, elastic coasting was not soft and fluffy like webs built by individual spiders. There were about two spiders per square centimetre laying the
silk, which first appeared in early October.

Man With An Opinion
Ted Nugent
Just in time for Turkey Day, bow-hunting enthusiast Ted Nugent has penned a love letter to America in today's Wall Street Journal. "America is alive and prospering," notes the rocker,
whose biggest hit was "Cat Scratch Fever." "America isn't at any crossroads as some will try and tell us. Those who believe that would have told you 500 years ago the world was flat.
Thirty years ago, they would have been stoned on LSD, drooling and dancing naked at a Grateful Dead concert. Avoid these people . . . America's best days are in front of us."

Pulls Plug on Bush TV Ads
UK Watchdog
A cartoon television commercial which shows George W. Bush mistaking a toaster for a video recorder has been banned in Britain for ridiculing the U.S. president.
An advertising watchdog said on Wednesday that the advert, for a satirical cartoon show was offensive. The clip shows a grinning Bush setting fire to a toaster as he tries to play a video at the White House.
It also features Tony Blair fetching a ball tossed by Bush -- a reference to the British prime minister's reputation among critics as Bush's unquestioning poodle in world affairs.
Rows over Bush's intelligence are nothing new. A senior aide to Canadian prime minister resigned on Tuesday after describing Bush as a "moron." Web sites devoted to Bush's most
publicized gaffes, or "Bushisms," have sprung up on the Internet.
Choice examples include "they misunderestimated me," "is our children learning?" and "terriers and bariffs" for tariffs and barriers.

Letters Sold At Auction
Maria Callas
An anonymous bidder paid nearly $6,000 on Wednesday for a heart-rending letter penned by opera legend Maria Callas after she was rejected by her billionaire lover in favor of former U.S. First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
Miserable and alone in her Paris apartment, Callas wrote to her voice teacher Elvira De Hidalgo filled with torment and thoughts of revenge after shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis
married Kennedy, the widow of the assassinated U.S. president. It was one of 11 lots of Callas letters and photographs sold by the Rome rooms of auctioneers Christie's for nearly $20,000, far exceeding pre-sale estimates.
Telephone bids were made from Israel, the United States and France.
"It's cruel, it isn't true -- both of them should pay; and both will pay, you'll see," Callas wrote on October 29, 1969, nine days after the marriage, which seemed to end once and
for all her stormy affair with one of the world's richest men.
In fact, the affair was to continue even after Onassis and Kennedy were united, leaving the Greek-American singer not only sick with love but humiliated by her inability to spurn him.
While it is more than 25 years since Callas died a depressed recluse in Paris, the legend of the soprano, once dubbed the "high priestess of opera" by film director Franco Zeffirelli,
seems to grow richer with the passage of time.

Government Asks Court to Seal Records
Vaccines & Autism
Attorneys for the Bush Administration asked a federal court on Monday to order that documents on hundreds of cases of autism allegedly caused by childhood vaccines be kept from the public.
Department of Justice lawyers asked a special master in the US Court of Federal Claims to seal the documents, arguing that allowing their automatic disclosure would take away the right of federal agencies to decide when and how the material should be released.
Attorneys for the families of hundreds of autistic children charged that the government was trying to keep the information out of civil courts, where juries might be convinced to award large judgments against vaccine manufacturers.
The court is currently hearing approximately 1,000 claims brought by the families of autistic children. The suits charge that the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, which until recently included a mercury-containing preservative
known as thimerosal, can cause neurological damage leading to autism.
Federal law requires suits against vaccine makers to go before a special federal "vaccine court" before any civil lawsuit is allowed. The court was set up by Congress to speed compensation claims and to help protect vaccine
makers from having to pay large punitive awards decided by juries in state civil courts. Plaintiffs are free to take their cases to state courts if they lose in the federal vaccine court or if they don't accept the court's judgment.
The current 1,000 or so autism cases are unusual for the court. Because it received so many claims, much of the fact-finding and evidence-gathering is going on for all of the cases as a block.
