Stand by Me is a 1986 American coming-of-age drama film directed by Rob Reiner, and starring Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, and Jerry O'Connell. The film, whose plot is based on Stephen King's novella The Body (1982) and title is derived from Ben E. King's eponymous song, which plays over the ending credits, tells the story of four boys in a small town in Oregon who go on a hike to find the dead body of a missing child.

Mark. was first and correct with:
That would be the Stand by Me, a classic movie. I would guess one of the
reasons for the title change was to highlight the classic song of the
same name which was used in the film.

That was "Stand By Me". 'Cause nobody would go see a movie with future

maybe I would go see that...

Garth Brooks has just been named one of the highest-paid country singers today.
According to Forbes, "The Thunder Rolls" crooner earned approximately 60 million last year from his soldout concerts. Lagging closely behind him are Kenny Chesney, with $42.5 million and Luke Bryan with $42 million. The latter earned the hefty sum not only from his concerts, songs and albums, but also from his involvements in Outdoor Channel's "Buck Commander" and "Duck Dynasty." Bryan also has some endorsements that added to his net worth.
The publication's 2017 list of world's highest-paid country music stars also ranked veteran country singer Dolly Parton as the fourth richest country singer today. The 71-year-old singer earned $37 million from her 63 shows in 2016. Additionally, Parton receives income from her publishing paychecks, as well as her Dollywood theme park.
Rounding out the top five are Florida Georgia Line and Toby Keith, who both earned $34.5 million. Other country singers who also made it in the top 10 include "The Voice" coach Blake Shelton, former "American Idol" judge Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band and Eric Church.
According to People, the combined earnings of the top 10 highest-paid country singers for this year is much lower than their combined income last year. In 2016, the top 10 country musicians earned $393 million. This year, they only earned a combined income of $366 million.

Neil Patrick Harris had a few choice words for James Woods after the latter posted an aggressive tweet about a young boy.
Woods, 70, shared a photo of a couple with their son at the Orange County Pride Parade in California, bearing posters that read, "I love my gender creative son!" and "My son wears dresses & makeup… Get over it!!"
The Once Upon a Time in America actor wrote, "This is sweet. Wait until this poor kid grows up, realizes what you've done, and stuffs both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage."
Woods received a wave of backlash on Twitter, as well as criticism from Neil Patrick Harris, who responded with a tweet of his own.
"Utterly ignorant and classless, Mr. Woods," the Gone Girl actor, 44, wrote. "I'm friends with this family. You know not of what you speak, and should be ashamed of yourself."
The viral video for "Gangnam Style" is no longer the most-watched video on YouTube, almost exactly five years after its release.
The music video accompanying the song by Korean artist Psy became the first on the website to reach one billion views, and forced the website to upgrade its storage capabilities in 2014 to cope with demand.
However it has since been knocked off the top spot by artists Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth and their song "See You Again".
Their 2015 collaboration, which featured on the Furious 7 soundtrack and paid tribute to the late star Paul Walker, has reached 2,902,454,646 views (at the time of writing) while "Gangnam Style" had 2,896,173,595.

"Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman, announced Tuesday that he plans to leave the GOP to become an independent.
"I am a Republican, but I'm not going to be a Republican anymore. I've got to become an independent," Scarborough said on CBS' "The Late Show."
Scarborough blasted the GOP's complacency for its reluctance to challenge Donald Trump (R-Corrupt). The "Morning Joe" host announced the news in a Tuesday night "Late Show" appearance with his co-host, Mika Brzezinski.
On "Morning Joe" Wednesday, the conservative pundit elaborated on his decision to leave the GOP, noting, "I think a lot of Republicans are feeling the same way."
"You apologize for your party for so long, and you hope that Republicans, when they get into power … [are] going to do the things that they promised to do," Scarborough said on "Morning Joe."
Iceberg Finally Breaks Off From Larsen C Ice Shelf
Antarctica
An iceberg that has just broken off from Antarctica is so massive that it has been described as being the size of Delaware, or twice the size of the European country Luxembourg.
It snapped off the Larsen C ice shelf in the western part of Antarctica, putting what remains of the ice shelf at a higher risk of collapsing, according to a report from Project MIDAS, a research group based in the United Kingdom that focuses on Larsen C. It happened sometime between Monday and Wednesday and a NASA satellite made the discovery, MIDAS said.
The iceberg is about 2,200 square miles and is 1,100 feet thick, with a volume double the amount of Lake Erie. It weighs more than 1 trillion tons and is one of the largest icebergs ever recorded.
The breakoff happened after the iceberg kept scientists in suspense for months - they knew the chunk was about to separate via a growing crack in the ice shelf but were unsure of when exactly it would happen.
A section of an iceberg, about 6,000 sq km, broke away as part of the natural cycle of iceberg calving off the Larsen C ice shelf in Antarctica in this satellite image released by the European Space Agency on July 12, 2017.
If you ask nearly all the world's climate scientists, there's simply no debate: The planet is warming as amounts of greenhouse gases rise in the air - and human activity is primarily to blame.
But Scott Pruitt, head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, insists on debating climate change. And that debate, apparently, might be televised, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
Doubters of mainstream climate science, including Pruitt, argue that dissenting views haven't been heard by the scientific community. They falsely claim that plenty of questions still remain about the scientific evidence for human-caused global warming.
In reality, however, while there is uncertainty about how quickly and severely rising temperatures will affect the planet, there's virtually no doubt among climate scientists that climate change is happening - and that it's happening because of us.
By calling for a debate, Pruitt creates a false narrative that casts his critics as stubborn, inflexible bullies who are hell-bent on destroying the fossil fuel industry. In this scenario, climate scientists and their allies are jealously guarding the climate discussion. Why don't other folks, like coal company executives, get to have a say?
Scientists have successfully teleported an object from Earth to space for the first time, paving the way for more ambitious and futuristic breakthroughs.
A team of researchers in China sent a photon from the ground to an orbiting satellite more than 300 miles above through a process known as quantum entanglement, according to MIT Technology Review. It's the farthest distance tested so far in teleportation experiments, the researchers said. Their work was published online on the open access site arXiv.
For about a month, the scientists beamed up millions of photons from their ground station in Tibet to the low-orbiting satellite. They were successful in more than 900 cases.
"This work establishes the first ground-to-satellite up-link for faithful and ultra-long-distance quantum teleportation, an essential step toward global-scale quantum Internet," the team said in a statement, according to MIT Technology Review.
The MIT-owned magazine described quantum entanglement as a "strange phenomenon" that occurs "when two quantum objects, such as photons, form at the same instant and point in space and so share the same existence." "In technical terms, they are described by the same wave function," it said.
A photograph supposedly showing Amelia Earhart alive in the Marshall Islands in 1937 that caused a stir earlier this month is from a Japanese book published years before the famed aviatrix disappeared, a military expert said Wednesday.
The blurry image apparently showing a white woman sitting on a Marshallese dock generated worldwide interest when it was included in a History Channel documentary screened last weekend.
It renewed interest in the fate of the legendary American and her navigator Fred Noonan who disappeared over the Pacific in July 1937 while attempting an around-the-world flight.
But military expert Matthew B. Holly said he had tracked the original image to a Japanese photographer's travelogue through Micronesia published before Earhart vanished.
He said the documents showed the photograph was taken at Jaluit Atoll in 1935 and published as part of the 111-page travelogue in 1936.
Over nearly a century Disney has exported US culture across the globe, but the company was astonished to find one slice of Americana wildly popular in China -- the turkey leg.
The entertainment giant opened its $5.5 billion theme park in Shanghai in June last year, expecting to shift mainly bok choy, Mickey Pork Buns and Minnie Red Bean Buns to hungry customers.
"If you go to Disneyland or Disneyworld, we sell gigantic turkey legs -- they're like the size of my arm," Bob Iger, chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company, told reporters on Wednesday.
"And when I heard we were putting them on the menu in Shanghai I thought our group was crazy. Why are we selling turkey legs in China?"
Demand for the juicy snack quickly grew to 4,000 units a day in Shanghai alone -- more than Disney's Polish supplier could manage -- and buyers were sent to track down more of the poultry legs in South America.
