Tuesday's child is full of grace, Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,

Memo to Purple Gene: Dude, I feel for ya. I really do. Thanks for "going to hell and back" to write what needed to be said. Hey, though, someone had to do it, eh? Be that as it may, you deserve a 'V' for valor. I get 'Lifetime', but no way would I ever watch that.
The thought of Lindsay Lohan as Liz is appalling... Cringe-worthy again comes to mind... But, it also brings to mind a poll. Who could possibly portray Liz the best? Take a day, or two, E! fans (I need that myself, frankly, to think it over) and send your thoughts to BCEpoll@aol.com and I'll put together a compilation...
... a 2012 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works Coupe (yep, that's its full name). It's turbocharged... Yowza!... I'd like mine in 'British Racing Green' (yep, that's an actual color), with dark bronze wheels and bright yellow trim, if you please... Thanks, Santa!

Veteran singer and United Nations Messenger of Peace Stevie Wonder has canceled a planned performance for the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces after several organizations asked him not to perform.
The soul singer, 62, was scheduled to sing at a December 6 fundraising gala in Los Angeles hosted by the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), an organization set up to help those serving in the Israel Defense Forces and families of fallen soldiers.
Wonder said he would make contributions to organizations that support Israeli and Palestinian children with disabilities.
The singer added that as a Messenger of Peace, a title he's held since 2009, "I am and have always been against war, any war, anywhere."

Seth MacFarlane may already have three hit animated television shows, one hit raunchy comedy movie and the coveted Oscars hosting job for next year, but the comedian is adding another notch on his resume: guest voicing on "The Simpsons."
"Family Guy" creator MacFarlane will appear in the season premiere of the 25th season of "The Simpsons" in 2013, Fox Television, home to both shows, said on Friday.
MacFarlane will play a married man who pursues matriarch Marge Simpson after the two meet on a website and form a bond over their love of a "Downton Abbey-esque" show called "Upton Rectory," show producer Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly.
MacFarlane's guest spot is a crossover for the actor, writer and director, who was inspired by "The Simpsons" when creating "Family Guy," an animated comedy following the dysfunctional Griffin family headed by dim-witted patriarch Peter, who bears similarities to Homer Simpson.
Both shows air on Fox, and the news comes after MacFarlane featured Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson, in a recent "Family Guy" episode.
Cadet Chapel, the landmark Gothic church that is a center for spiritual life at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, hosted its first same-sex wedding Saturday.
Penelope Gnesin and Brenda Sue Fulton, a West Point graduate, exchanged vows in the regal church in an afternoon ceremony, attended by about 250 guests and conducted by a senior Army chaplain.
The two have been together for 17 years. They had a civil commitment ceremony that didn't carry any legal force in 1999 and had long hoped to formally tie the knot. The way was cleared last year, when New York legalized same-sex marriage and President Barack Obama lifted the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy prohibiting openly gay people from serving in the military.
The brides both live in New Jersey and would have preferred to have the wedding there, but the state doesn't allow gay marriage.
Fulton has campaigned against the ban on gays in the military as a member of two groups representing gay and lesbian servicemen and servicewomen. She graduated from West Point in 1980, a member of the first class to include women.

One of the most significant drawings by Italian master Raphael in private hands is up for auction in London.
"Head of an Apostle" is expected to fetch between 10 million pounds and 15 million pounds ($16 million and $24 million) at Sotheby's on Dec. 5.
The drawing was created in preparation for Raphael's Biblical painting "The Transfiguration," which hangs in the Vatican Museum in Rome.

Watergate Judge John J. Sirica aided the prosecution in pursuing the White House connection to the Democratic headquarters break-in by providing the special prosecutor information from a probation report in which one of the burglars said he was acting under orders from top Nixon administration officials, according to once-secret documents released Friday by the National Archives.
One newly public transcript of an in-chambers meeting between Sirica, the U.S. District Court judge in charge of the case, and then-Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox in July 1973 shows the judge revealed secret probation reports indicating that E. Howard Hunt had cited orders from officials high up in the Nixon administration. Several of Hunt's co-defendants had previously denied any White House involvement in court testimony, and Sirica told Cox and other prosecutors that he felt the new information "seemed to me significant."
The government released more than 850 pages from the Watergate political scandal, providing new insights on privileged legal conversations and prison evaluations of several of the burglars in the case. A federal judge had decided earlier this month to unseal some material, but other records still remain off limits.
The files do not appear to provide any significant new revelations in the 40-year-old case that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon and criminal prosecutions of many of his top White House and political aides. But the files provide useful context for historians, revealing behind-the-scenes deliberations by Sirica, the U.S. District Court judge in charge of the case, along with prosecutors and defense lawyers.
The documents stem from the prosecution of five defendants arrested during the June 1972 Watergate break-in and two men, Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, who were charged as the burglary team's supervisors. All seven men were convicted.

An actress who said she was duped into appearing in an anti-Islam film that stoked violent protests against the United States across the Muslim world lost on Friday her second legal bid to force the video off YouTube.
Denying a request by actress Cindy Lee Garcia for a court order requiring the popular online video site to remove the crudely made 13-minute clip, a federal judge found she was unlikely to prevail on her claims of copyright infringement.
U.S. District Judge Michael Fitzgerald of Santa Clara, California, also canceled a December 3 hearing he had previously set for oral arguments over Garcia's request.
The lawsuit, filed in September, names YouTube and its parent company Google Inc as defendants, along with the film's producer.
A previous motion by Garcia for a temporary restraining order against YouTube's continued posting of the video was rejected by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge.

Twenty-three-year-old Renato Seabra was convicted Friday of choking, bludgeoning and mutilating Carlos Castro.
Castro's bloodied body was found in January 2011. The 65-year-old Castro was also a writer.
Manhattan prosecutors say the two were a couple and Seabra was angry Castro had ended their relationship. Seabra's mother disputes the men were together.
The defense said Seabra was mentally ill. It said he believed he was on a mission to kill what he saw as the devil of homosexuality in Castro.

The Italian news agency ANSA says a wall at the Pompeii archeological site has collapsed following days of heavy rain.
The collapse Friday of a two-meter (six-foot) section of wall in an area closed to tourists is the latest in a series that has raised concern about the state of the cultural treasure. In 2010, a 2,000-year-old house collapsed in the ancient Roman city that was once used by gladiators to train before combat.
The Italian government and the European Commission last spring announced a project to spend €105 million ($136 million) to secure the Pompeii site.
Some 3 million people each year visit the ancient city south of Naples that was destroyed in A.D. 79 by a volcanic eruption from Mount Vesuvius.
One of the nation's oldest churches is considering selling a copy of the first book ever published in British North America.
Members of the Old South Church in Boston on Sunday are scheduled to vote on whether to sell one of their two copies of the Bay Psalm Book, published in 1640, along with a collection of Colonial-era silver. They say the sale could help pay for repairs and assure the financial future of the church, established in 1669.
A Sotheby's executive calls the psalm book "the Gutenberg Bible of America," and says it could fetch $10 million to $20 million at auction. Just 11 copies remain.
The church's lay leadership has mostly endorsed the idea.
