The Audience was written by Peter Morgan, who also wrote The Queen. Not gonna look it up, I just know it's Helen Mirren. Who else could it be? Carla and I watched a TV show where Helen Mirren was a cop with personal problems. I don't remember the title any more, it was quite a while ago. We watched it either on BBC or OBS, I don't remember which but it was probably PBS, they used to have a lot of British mysteries back in the day. Anyway we loved it and it was my first introduction to her, although Carla knew who she was.

Harvard's law school, one of the most prestigious educational bodies in the world, announced Friday it would scrap its official emblem depicting a crest, in a row about slavery.
The shield, which says "Veritas" and shows three sheaths of wheat, was modeled on the family crest of a notoriously brutal 18th century slaveholder. It was adopted as the symbol of the law school in the 1930s.
Student campaigners have protested for five months for its removal, as demonstrations about race have increasingly rocked campuses in Britain and America.
Last week Harvard also decided to retire use of the title "house master" to denote staff who head up undergraduate residences, instead calling them "faculty deans" after students protested that the term harked to slavery.
The school set up a 12-member committee of staff, students and alumni to review the crest, and recommended 10 to two that the shield be axed.

Elusive street artist Banksy may have been unmasked - by mathematics.
Scientists have applied a type of modeling used to track down criminals and map disease outbreaks to identify the graffiti artist, whose real name has never been confirmed.
The technique, known as geographic profiling, is used by police forces to narrow down lists of suspects by calculating from multiple crime sites where the offender most likely lives.
The researchers used the location of 140 Banksy artworks in London and Bristol, western England. Writing in the Journal of Spatial Science, they said the artworks "are associated with sites linked to one prominent candidate" - Robin Gunningham, previously named in media reports as Banksy.
They said the study is not conclusive but "does provide some support for the theory that he is Banksy."
Reality star Caitlyn Jenner's offer to be a "trans ambassador" to U.S. Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz drew criticism on Friday from some members of the LGBT community, but major transgender rights organizations stayed out of the fray.
Jenner told gay and lesbian publication The Advocate in an interview posted this week that she admired Cruz despite the social conservative's stance on transgender issues.
The 66-year-old Olympic gold medalist turned television personality called Cruz a "great constitutionalist" and said she would like to advise him on questions relating to her community.
Mara Keisling, executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality, said Jenner's comments highlight the fact a significant share of transgender people are Republicans.
"One would hope that transgender people would support philosophies that are helpful and not harmful to trans people," she said, adding that Jenner might have taken that into consideration before offering her support to Cruz.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch (R-Evil Incarnate) and model-actress Jerry Hall married Friday at an aristocratic palace in London.
They were photographed emerging with smiles Friday from Spencer House, which was built in the 18th century by ancestors of the late Princess Diana. The 84-year-old groom wore a business suit; the bride, 59, was in a navy skirt and a trench coat.
Murdoch's News U.K. confirmed Murdoch and Hall, who announced their engagement in January, had married.
It is the fourth marriage for Murdoch, who owns Fox News Channel, movie studio Twenty-First Century Fox, publisher HarperCollins and newspapers in Britain and the United States. Murdoch has six children from his three previous marriages.
It is the first marriage for Texas-born Hall, a former supermodel and long-term partner of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger. She and Jagger, who have four children together, had an unofficial private Hindu marriage ceremony in Bali, Indonesia, in 1990. During divorce proceedings in 1999 a British court declared the marriage invalid.
The Alabama Supreme Court refused Friday to defy the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that effectively legalized same-sex marriage nationwide, cutting off a conservative bid to prevent gay weddings in the state.
The court issued a one-sentence order dismissing a challenge by a probate judge and a conservative policy group that wanted the state to bar gay marriage despite the landmark federal decision.
In one of several written opinions accompanying the order, Justice Greg Shaw called the decision a "clear refusal" to ignore the Supreme Court ruling last June.
Chief Justice Roy Moore, a Christian conservative who has repeatedly spoken out against same-sex unions, wrote that previous state orders barring gay marriage in Alabama remain. Most probate judges already are ignoring that directive, however, and hundreds of same-sex couples already have wed in Alabama.
While the court used only 11 words in its order, members of the all-Republican bench railed against the U.S. Supreme Court decision in multiple written opinions totaling 169 pages.

The fatal shooting of a Fargo police officer responding to a domestic disturbance has spurred efforts to clamp down on North Dakota's gun restoration laws, which researchers say are among the most forgiving in the nation.
The suspect in the Feb. 10 shooting death of Officer Jason Moszer was convicted of negligent homicide for shooting a Grand Forks man in 1988, but state laws did not disqualify Marcus Schumacher from having his gun rights restored.
A lawmaker who represents the district where the shooting took place is proposing a bill prohibiting violent felons from possessing firearms.
"This happened right in our neighborhood. I could hear the shots from my window," Republican Rep. Blair Thoreson said. "People are concerned about what's being done."
Only a handful of states, including North Dakota, automatically restore gun rights - even to violent felons - after sufficient time has passed without requiring petitions or pardons, said Margaret C. Love, a Washington pardon lawyer who has researched restoration laws. She said felons in more than half the states can usually get back their gun licenses, although typically not for violent crimes.

A former pediatrician serving life in prison for sexually abusing scores of children has lost an appeal before the Delaware Supreme court.
A three-judge panel on Thursday rejected Earl Bradley's claims that his trial and appeal attorneys were ineffective, and that he was denied the right to have an attorney of his choosing. In a 21-page opinion, the panel upheld a Superior Court judge's ruling similarly dismissing those post-conviction arguments.
Bradley is serving 14 life sentences.
According to court records, police were able to document more than 100 incidents of sexual abuse. Prosecutors presented 89 separate incidents captured on video recorded by Bradley between 1998 and 2009, involving 86 individual children. The vast majority of victims were infants and toddlers, with an average age of about 3.
He was convicted by a judge in 2011. He waived his right to a jury trial after a motion to suppress evidence was denied.

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has announced that the government will take over all the country's diamond mines to stop foreign firms syphoning off gems without declaring them.
"We have not received much (money) from the diamond industry at all," Mugabe said in a two-hour interview screened late Thursday by state broadcaster Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation.
"Our people... have not been able to see or hear what was going on and lots of swindling, smuggling have taken place and the companies that have been mining virtually robbed us of our wealth.
"We have decided that this area should be a monopoly area and only the state should be able to do mining."
Mines Minister Walter Chidhakwa last month announced the government had seized diamond mines in the eastern Chiadzwa fields near the border with Mozambique after their licences expired.

Gayle McCormick, the lead singer of the group Smith, which recorded the 1969 top-10 song "Baby, It's You," has died in suburban St. Louis.
McCormick died Tuesday of cancer. Her death was confirmed Friday by the Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann, Missouri.
McCormick grew up in St. Louis County before joining the short-lived group Smith, whose first of two albums, "A Group Called Smith," reached No. 17 on the Billboard chart.
"Baby, It's You," a cover of a song first performed by the Shirelles in 1961, was the group's only top-10 hit, reaching No. 5 on Billboard on Nov. 1, 1969.
McCormick left Smith in 1971 and released three solo albums. Her single "It's a Cryin' Shame" reached No. 9 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart in November 1971.
Tony Dyson, who built the beloved, beeping Star Wars robot R2-D2, has died at his home in Malta, police said Friday. He was 68.
Dyson's body was discovered Friday in his residence on Gozo island. Neighbors had alerted police when Dyson, a British national who had lived in Malta since the early 1990s, didn't appear publicly for several days.
The police said no foul play is suspected. An autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
The squat R2-D2 droid, a sidekick of C-3P0, became one of the world's favorite robots. He formed an important part of the Star Wars franchise and made a revived - and crucial - appearance in the latest episode, "The Force Awakens."
