Performing At Harrison Benefit
Paul McCartney
Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney will join some of the biggest names in music Friday for a memorial concert to George Harrison.
McCartney is due to appear on stage with Fab Four drummer Ringo Starr, former Cream frontman Eric Clapton and Jeff Lynne, co-founder of British band Electric Light Orchestra.
Harrison's widow arranged the concert at London's Royal Albert Hall with Clapton to mark the first anniversary of the former Beatle's death from cancer.
Other performers due to appear include British musician Jools Holland, American singer Tom Petty and Ravi Shankar, the Indian sitar player who influenced Harrison.
The sell-out concert will raise money for one of Harrison's favorite charities, the Material World Charitable Foundation, which supports the arts, education and people with special needs.

Too Many Ghosts?
Presley & Cage
Lisa-Marie Presley and Nicolas Cage wore wide smiles and appeared the picture of wedded bliss when they posed for photographer Annie Leibovitz on Friday.
But on Monday, Cage, 38, filed for divorce from his wife of just three months.
A source said the couple were "very professional and seemed happy" while posing for pictures slated to accompany a Q&A in Vogue's February issue.
"When they announced their divorce, everyone was really shocked," the source said. "No one saw it coming. The photo shoot took place over several days and they were really
very nice." But insiders said a combination of the Hollywood spotlight, her devotion to Scientology and the aura of Elvis, Lisa-Marie's late dad, doomed the marriage.
Her two prior marriages, first to Scientologist Danny Keough and second Michael Jackson, ended in divorce, as did Cage's union with actress Patricia Arquette. Longtime Elvis
pal Jerry Schilling said he was "stunned" and "heartsick" over the marriage's quick demise.
The couple met two years ago at a birthday party for punk legend Johnny Ramone. Lisa-Marie had shown up with her then-fiancé, musician John Oszajca, whom she soon dumped.
The relationship flowered, but in the background were her children Danielle, 13, and Benjamin, 10, from her marriage to Keough - and Scientology.
Hollywood marriage therapist Dr. Carole Lieberman said there were two invisible participants at the couple's wedding - Elvis and Scientology. Cage was reportedly obsessed with the legendary singer.
"Nick Cage fell in love with the fantasy of being married to Elvis Presley's daughter," Lieberman said. "He found that the reality of living with her was not what he expected.
"The ghosts of Elvis and Scientology were in their bed."

Actress in Hospital
Zsa Zsa Gabor
Hungarian-born actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, known for her flamboyant lifestyle and ability to marry millionaires, was in a hospital on Thursday suffering from serious head and other injuries after a car crash, officials said.
Several media reports said Gabor, 84, had fallen into a coma. A spokeswoman for Cedars-Sinai hospital where she was admitted was not immediately available for comment.
The Los Angeles County sheriff's department said Gabor was injured after a car driven by her hairdresser struck a utility pole on Wednesday evening on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.
Gabor, who came to the United States with her mother and sisters as World War II was about to begin, became famed in her adopted country for her glamour, hot temper and ability to
snare a succession of well-to-do husbands. Acting took second-fiddle to her career as a celebrity fueled by a near-preposterous Hungarian accent in which all and sundry were called "Darling."
Gabor lists here birthday as Feb. 7 but steadfastly refused to reveal the year of her birth. Born Sari Gabor, she was named Miss Hungary in the 1930s, but with the approach of
World War II she and her two sisters were forced to give up their lives of chauffeurs and private schools.
Together with their mother, they made their way to the United States.

Return to TV - Most-Watched Show On Cable
'The Osbournes'
Tuesday's second season opener of The Osbournes, MTV's hit reality series, which featured legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon at a White House dinner, drew an average of 6.6 million
viewers, making it the most-watched cable TV program of the night, the network said on Wednesday.
The episode, which also featured daughter Kelly singing the Madonna classic "Papa Don't Preach" at the June MTV Movie Awards, was hotly anticipated in part because the first season
of the series had brought the family cult celebrity status.
The reality show has spawned something of an Osbourne industry, including rumors of a talk show deal for Sharon, a DVD edition of the first season and even a line of miniature cars
modeled on those featured in the show.

Cuts Ties With Restaurant
Britney Spears
Britney Spears has pulled out of Nyla, the midtown Manhattan eatery she opened just five months ago.
The pop star, who turns 21 on Monday, said in a statement that she has "terminated her relationship" with the restaurant she formed a partnership with in March because of mismanagement
and "management's failure to keep her fully apprised."
The restaurant at the Dylan Hotel, which she named for New York and her home state of Louisiana, served Southern-inspired cuisine. But it was plagued by lousy reviews and slow business;
management recently changed the menu to American food with an Italian flair.

Britain Bars Export
Michelangelo
Britain Thursday slapped a temporary export ban on a rare early pen and ink study by Michelangelo to give time for any efforts to raise the $11.7 million needed to buy it for the nation.
Study of a Mourning Woman, one of only five examples of Michelangelo's early work of which only two are in private hands, was sold at auction in mid-2001 for 5.9 million pounds to a London dealer.
The sketch, which depicts a three-quarter profile of a standing woman covered in heavy drapes with her face obscured, now belongs to an American collector and was destined to be moved
overseas before the export ban was imposed.
The study has been dated to between 1494 and 1504 -- some seven to 14 years after Michelangelo entered the studio of Domenico Ghirlandaio aged 12.
Michelangelo, who at one stage claimed to have learned little from his mentor, is believed to have destroyed many of his early studies.

Opens Pub
Prince Charles
Prince Charles has opened a pub called the Poet Laureate in honor of his friend, the late Ted Hughes.
The pub is part of Poundbury, a village on the edge of Dorchester in southwest England that has been constructed in keeping with Prince Charles' vision of a
community with industry, offices, shops, houses and leisure facilities.
The prince was joined by local residents and Carol Hughes, widow of the former poet laureate, at the opening of the pub Wednesday.
Ted Hughes, who became poet laureate in 1984, died of cancer in 1998. His books included "Birthday Letters," a collection of passionate and mournful poems about his
marriage to the celebrated American poet Sylvia Plath, published only months before his death. Plath committed suicide in 1963.

Britain to Publish Files
UFO Sightings
The British government will publish files on reported UFO sightings as part of a shake-up of its laws on freedom of information.
Among the documents to be published is the "Rendlesham File," which deals with one of the country's best known sightings of an unidentified flying object.
Until now, only about 20 members of the public have seen the file, which relates to a sighting in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, eastern England, in 1980.
According to some UFO enthusiasts, eyewitnesses including U.S. officers at a nearby military base saw a brilliantly lit spaceship land in the forest on two consecutive nights.
Now, the government says it will publish it on the Internet before the end of this week, along with other files on reported UFO sightings.
