Tom Danehy: Tom forecasts what we can expect in President Trump's first 100 days (Tucson Weekly)
By the third week, he has named his daughter, Ivanka, as his unofficial Secretary of Hotness. (Seriously, Trump supporters, you're really not disturbed by a guy who says that he would date one of his daughters and then talks publicly about the size of his other daughter's breasts? That's some creepy-ass stuff.)
Adam Tod Brown: 5 Movie Franchises That Don't Get The Respect They Deserve (Cracked)
You know what we probably have too many of these days? Movies. That's why we need movie reviews. They help the average person who may not have time to watch every film that comes out to easily differentiate between what they should and should not watch. However, the critics can't be right all the time, and movies that deserve at least a little bit of acclaim never really get it. Sometimes it happens over the course of several movies.
Herschel Shmoikel Pinchas Yerucham Krustofsky, better known as Krusty the Clown(sometimes spelled as Krusty the Klown), is a cartoon character in the animated television series The Simpsons. He is voiced by Dan Castellaneta. He is the long-time clown host of Bart and Lisa's favorite TV show, a combination of kiddie variety television hijinks and cartoons including The Itchy & Scratchy Show. Krusty is often portrayed as a cynical, burnt-out, addiction-riddled smoker who is made miserable by show business but continues on anyway. He has become one of the most common characters outside of the main Simpson family and has been the focus of several episodes, most of which also spotlight Bart.

I had no idea - so I looked it up. The all-knowing Oz, er, Internet, tells me that's Krusty the Clown, from The Simpson's. Makes sense that I didn't know that, as that show is not my jam. I've tried, because my family finds it hilarious, but I keep waiting for the funny to start. To each their own.
Our weather prognosticators were right: We barely hit 90 yesterday, and it's chilly now. They're even talking rain Sunday and Monday. That would be swell!

"Saturday Night Live" is beefing up its talent for the anticipated election skits it'll have when the new season begins October 1.
"SNL" regular Alec Baldwin will be playing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, NBC revealed on Wednesday in a tease of the season premiere.
NBC confirmed to Business Insider that Baldwin will play Trump for the entire season, the show's 42nd.
The most recent "SNL" Trump impersonator was former cast member Darrell Hammond. He will stay on as the show's announcer, which he has been since 2014.
"SNL" cast member Kate McKinnon will continue to play Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Branding Donald Trump a "dangerous demagogue," USA Today on Thursday urged its readers not to vote for the Republican presidential candidate, but added that it was not endorsing his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton either.
The national newspaper said in an editorial that it had never taken sides in U.S. presidential elections in its 34-year history, but was abandoning the practice because the New York real estate developer was unfit for the presidency.
It went on to list and expand on eight reasons for its stance, including: "He is ill-equipped to be commander in chief," "He traffics in prejudice," and "He's a serial liar."
"Trump's foreign policy pronouncements typically range from uninformed to incoherent," the editorial said.
Urging voters to stay true to their convictions, USA Today said: "Whatever you do, however, resist the siren song of a dangerous demagogue. By all means vote, just not for Donald Trump."
An ex-Fox News anchor told her therapist that former network chairman Roger Ailes sexually harassed her, two years before she went public with the allegations that the company said she made up, a document filed in court on Wednesday said.
Lawyers for Andrea Tantaros filed a statement in New York state court in Manhattan from the therapist, who said Tantaros spoke to her about the harassment in 2014. Tantaros sued Ailes and Fox News, a unit of Twenty-First Century Fox Inc in August.
Ailes resigned in July after two decades with Fox News after another former anchor, Gretchen Carlson, sued him for sexual harassment. Fox News agreed to pay $20 million on Ailes' behalf to settle Carlson's case in early September.
Tantaros sued Fox, Ailes and four other network executives, claiming she was taken off the air in April in retaliation for rebuffing Ailes' advances and complaining to top officials.
Wednesday's filing was in response to one by the company in August in which Fox News called Tantaros an "opportunist" and a "wannabe." It said Tantaros made up the claims in her lawsuit after the company took her off the air for writing a book without the company's permission.

Media-entertainment giants Viacom and CBS, which split a decade ago, should reunite in a merger to better compete in the shifting industry landscape, the family that controls both said Thursday.
A letter released by Sumner Redstone and his daughter Shari Redstone said the boards of the two firms should consider bringing together the firms that broke up in 2005.
The 93-year-old Redstone, who is believed to be in failing health, remains chief executive of the holding company National Amusements, the controlling shareholder of the two firms. Shari Redstone is president of the group.
"We believe that a combination of CBS and Viacom might offer substantial synergies that would allow the combined company to respond even more aggressively and effectively to the challenges of the changing entertainment and media landscape," the letter said.
It added that National Amusements "is not willing to accept or support any acquisition by a third party of either company or any transaction that would result in National Amusements surrendering its controlling position in either company."
Global warming is on track to breach a 2 degrees Celsius threshold by 2050 unless governments at least double their efforts to limit greenhouse gas emissions, scientists said on Thursday.
Plans by almost 200 governments to cut greenhouse gases are far too weak to match targets set in a Paris Agreement on climate change last December for a drastic shift from fossil fuels towards greener energies, they said.
"We've really got a problem," Robert Watson, a British-American scientist who was among the seven authors of the study and is a former head of the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), told Reuters.
The Paris Agreement sets a goal of limiting a rise in average world temperatures to "well below" 2C above pre-industrial times, while pursuing a tougher 1.5 Celsius (2.7F) limit.
The study, by Watson and other senior scientists, said the 2C limit "could be reached by 2050, even if pledges (in Paris) are fully implemented."

The Education Department is pursuing debt collection - rather than debt relief - for nearly 80,000 former students of Corinthian Colleges, despite federal and state findings that the now-defunct for-profit chain defrauded students, Sen. Elizabeth Warren said in a blistering critique of the administration's actions.
The Massachusetts Democrat reported the findings of a staff investigation in a letter Thursday to Education Secretary John B. King Jr. "It is unconscionable that instead of helping these borrowers, vast numbers of Corinthian victims are currently being hounded by the department's debt collectors," she said.
The seven-page letter described the department's approach as backward and anemic.
In her letter, Warren asked the department to immediately halt all collections on Corinthian students' debt and discharge their federal loans.
Warren said the debt collection has resulted in "many having their credit slammed, their tax refunds seized, their Social Security and Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) payments reduced, or their wages garnished - all to pay fraudulent debts that ... are likely eligible for discharge."

California Governor Jerry Brown on Wednesday signed a bill to end the statute of limitations for rape, a measure inspired by accusations against comedian Bill Cosby, some of which surfaced decades after alleged crimes occurred.
Cosby, who built a long career on family friendly comedy, including his long-running NBC sitcom "The Cosby Show," has steadfastly denied ever assaulting anyone and has insisted that all his sexual encounters were consensual.
He is charged in Pennsylvania with drugging and sexually assaulting a former Temple University employee, Andrea Constand, at his home in 2004. In California, he faces a civil suit by a woman now in her 50s who alleges that Cosby plied her with alcohol and molested her in 1974 at the Playboy Mansion when she was aged 15.
Existing California law generally limits prosecution of a felony sexual offense to 10 years after the offense is committed.
Only two in 100 rapists will be convicted of a felony and spend any time in prison, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

South Africa's all-female "Black Mambas" anti-poaching team had never lost a rhino since they were formed in 2013, but the killing of two animals earlier this month shattered their proud record.
The two rhinos, one of which was pregnant, were shot dead and their horns hacked off by poachers on a full moon night, underlining the crisis that threatens the species.
The Black Mambas are made up of 36 unarmed female rangers, aged from 19 to 33, based at the Balule Game Reserve in Limpopo province on the edge of Kruger National Park.
They have been feted worldwide as a mould-breaking experiment that has successfully helped to tackle poaching through foot patrols, intelligence gathering and community awareness work.
But the insatiable appetite for rhino horn in Vietnam and China has fuelled record killing in Africa, and the Black Mambas are struggling under growing pressure.

Workers doing cleanup along a river in southern Peru stumbled upon part of a pre-Hispanic, Inca-era altar believed to have been long-lost, the Culture Ministry said Wednesday.
About 35 percent of the altar -- weighing around 20 tonnes and decorated with detailed carving -- was located on the bank of the Vilcanota River, in the Cusco region.
The hefty stone religious piece, dating from sometime between 1200 and 1500 AD, is about 2.5 meters (eight feet) long and one meter (three feet) tall.
It was feared to have been lost for good during major road work in the area four years ago.
But as the workers cleared stones, sand, earth and brush that had been deposited by the river, they discovered the piece -- a significant part of Peru's cultural patrimony.
