Fun fact: Violence fetishizes itself. Worships. Adores itself with psychotic levels of megalomania and self-aggrandizement - sociopathic and chilling and face-slappingly obvious throughout all of human history. You know?

You just need multiple sources of income. I like not having to depend on rap money, and the way I don't have to depend on rap money is finding other endeavors, whether it's merchandising T-shirts or merchandising the shop or developing a product to support, which we're currently in the process of doing. For me, it's always been about creating as many streams of revenue as I possibly can, so I can be free to rap the way I wanna rap.

Anyone who has gone within a 10-foot radius of a computer, a television, or another human being no doubt considers themselves "up to speed" on the situation currently exploding in Ferguson, Missouri, after police shot an unarmed black teenager named Michael Brown. And unsurprisingly, the media is so thick with bullshit that we've decided to cut it all down in one swinging arc to help you get your bearings. Here are all the latest and fakest news stories coming out of Ferguson.

BartCop
Hello Bartcop fans,
As you all know the untimely passing of Terry was unexpected, even by
him. We all knew he had cancer but we all thought he had some years
left. So some of us who have worked closely with him over the years are
scrambling around trying to figure out what to do. My job, among other
things, is to establish communications with the Bartcop community and
provide email lists and groups for those who might put something
together. Those who want to play an active roll in something coming from
this, or if you are one of Bart's pillars, should send an email to
active@bartcop.com.
Bart's final wish was to pay off the house mortgage for Mrs. Bart who is
overwhelmed and so very grateful for the support she has received.
Anyone wanting to make a donation can click on this the yellow donate
button on bartcop.com
But - I need you all to help keep this going. This note
isn't going to directly reach all of Bart's fans. So if you can repost
it on blogs and discussion boards so people can sign up then when we
figure out what's next we can let more people know. This list is just
over 600 but like to get it up to at least 10,000 pretty quick. So
here's the signup link for this email list.

Ecologists Team Up To Buy Bayside Ranch
Texas
A sprawling private ranch in southeast Texas will be converted into a state park with the assistance of a fund created in the wake of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation announced Thursday.
The $37.7 million purchase of the Powderhorn Ranch, 75 miles northeast of Corpus Christi, is the highest price ever paid for a Texas conservation project and the biggest land acquisition so far using BP spill restoration dollars.
The state agency said it has been plotting for more than three decades with the Conservation Fund, the Nature Conservancy and other groups on how to acquire the ranch.
The 17,351-acre property along the Texas coast in Calhoun County contains freshwater wetlands, salt marshes, tidal flats, oyster beds and live oak forests, and is hoped to become a wintertime refuge for the endangered whooping crane.

Brings Big Ratings To Little League
Mo'ne Davis
Pitching sensation Mo'ne Davis' latest start drew record-setting television viewership for the Little League World Series.
Her game Wednesday night attracted the largest audience for the event on ESPN, the network said Thursday. The 8-1 loss by Davis' Philadelphia team to Las Vegas earned a 3.1 rating and was watched by an average of nearly 5 million people, up 155 percent from the corresponding game last year.
The 13-year-old Davis rose to a national celebrity after becoming the first girl to pitch a shutout at the LLWS. She was removed after just 2 1-3 innings Wednesday, allowing three runs and striking out six.
The previous high for a LLWS game on ESPN was 3.3 million in 2001 for the matchup between Oceanside, California, and Danny Almonte's team from the Bronx. Championship games on ABC have drawn bigger audiences.

"The Decent Thing To Do"
California
California lawmakers will approve legislation supported by Gov. Jerry Brown to spend $3 million in state money to provide legal help for unaccompanied immigrant children from Central America, Democratic leaders announced Thursday.
Making the money available is "the decent thing to do, and it's consistent with the progressive spirit of California," Brown said in a statement.
He announced the plan along with Attorney General Kamala Harris, Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg, Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins and the Latino legislative caucus, all Democrats.
Because Democrats control both houses of the Legislature, they will not need Republican support to approve the funding. The move could give Democrats a boost with Latino voters in the November election.

Statues Talk
London
Calling all London tourists: Peter Pan, Sherlock Holmes and Queen Victoria want a word with you.
Statues of some three dozen historical and fictional characters in London and Manchester are coming to life thanks to a new interactive project that gives them a voice to tell their stories.
Passers-by can swipe their smartphones on a tag or type in a web address to get an instant call from the characters depicted. Actors including Patrick Stewart and Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville perform the monologues, which last a few minutes each.
The project, launched Tuesday, features Isaac Newton at the British Library, Sherlock Holmes at Baker Street station, and Queen Victoria at Blackfriars Bridge, among others.

LGBT Tourists
Vegas
While gay couples still can't get married in the marriage capital of the world, Las Vegas wants to let them know they - and their money - are more than welcome to the buffet of other activities Sin City has to offer.
The city's tourism authority recently launched its first mainstream TV campaign aimed at the LGBT community: a commercial featuring a hunk and a heavy dose of innuendo. The first gay nightclub inside a Las Vegas Strip casino opened up this summer.
And casino pools that struggled to distinguish themselves in the high-flying world of day-clubs have found a niche in gay pool parties.
The efforts have landed the city among the top destinations for gay travelers, who LGBT tourism experts say are more likely to be childless, take more trips and tend to have more disposable income than the average visitor.
But some business leaders fear that Nevada's same-sex marriage ban is preventing Las Vegas from reaching its true potential among the demographic.

Hit Song Ripped Off Dominican Artist
Shakira
A federal judge has found that a hit 2010 song by Colombian pop star Shakira copied a Dominican songwriter's work.
U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein in a ruling in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday said Shakira's Spanish-language single "Loca" infringed on the work of Ramon Arias Vasquez, who wrote "Loca con su Tiguere" in the late 1990s.
Hellerstein dismissed claims that Shakira's English version of the track infringed, citing a lack of evidence.
The ruling is a victory for the plaintiff, Mayimba Music, which holds the rights to Arias's work and which sued Sony Corp of America and several other Sony units in 2012.
The judge found only two of them liable, Sony/ATV Latin and Sony/ATV Discos, for distributing Shakira's song.

Adjusts To Society
North Pond Hermit
A man who lived nearly three decades in the woods now has a job and is adjusting to life back in society.
Christopher Knight, who survived brutal winters in the Maine woods by stealing food from homes and camps, could graduate from a special court program as early as this fall, Kennebec County District Attorney Maeghan Maloney said.
After serving about seven months in jail, Knight, known as the North Pond Hermit, was admitted last fall into the program, whose participants receive treatment and counseling.
Knight never fully explained why he disappeared into the woods, telling GQ that he didn't have a reason and that it was a mystery to him too. He committed more than 1,000 robberies while he lived as a recluse, he told the magazine.

Myanmar Struggles
Leprosy
High in the hills of Myanmar's war-torn borderlands, a clutch of new leprosy cases among communities virtually cut off from medical help is a sign that the country's battle with the ancient disease is far from over.
It took six days by plane, boat, motorcycle, bus -- and an arduous mountain trek -- for a group of medical workers to treat two leprosy patients in a remote corner of the country, where conflict and neglect are the legacy of decades of military rule and even access to basic medicines is a distant dream.
But the charity-funded medics were also on the lookout for evidence that the disease had spread.
They soon found three more leprosy sufferers, including one man who had such a severe case he required hospital care.
Weeks later the patient was still waiting to travel as tensions between the Myanmar army and local rebels closed transportation routes.

New Restrictions For Pigboy's Breath Mints
Hydrocodone
The federal government is finalizing new restrictions on hundreds of medicines containing hydrocodone, the highly addictive painkiller that has grown into the most widely prescribed drug in the U.S.
The new rules mean that drugs like Vicodin, Lortab and their generic equivalents will be subject to the same prescribing rules as painkillers like codeine and oxycodone. Patients will be limited to one 90-day supply of medication and will have to see a health care professional to get a refill. In many states, only doctors will be able to prescribe the medications, not nurses or physician assistants.
The move, announced in a federal notice, comes more than a decade after the Drug Enforcement Administration first recommended reclassifying hydrocodone due to its risks for abuse and addiction. For years, physician groups and the Food and Drug Administration opposed the move, saying it would burden health care providers and patients while driving up costs.
But last year the FDA changed its position, citing the national epidemic of overdoses and deaths tied to prescription painkillers known as opioids.
In 2012, U.S. doctors wrote more than 125 million prescriptions for hydrocodone-containing medications, making it the most prescribed drug in the country, according to figures from IMS Health.

Greek Archaeology Site
Amphipolis
Archaeologists excavating a large burial mound in northern Greece that has captivated the public's imagination have asked politicians and others seeking guided tours of the site to leave them in peace.
The Culture Ministry appealed Thursday for "understanding" while the Amphipolis excavation proceeds.
The partially uncovered tomb from the end of Greek warrior-king Alexander the Great's reign, which was found inside the mound, has sparked intense media interest amid wild speculation that it may contain rich treasures or the bones of an ancient celebrity.
So far, archaeologists have uncovered part of the late 4th-century B.C. tomb's entrance, which has two large marble sphinxes placed on a lintel just under the barrel-vaulted roof. Underneath lies the doorway, still covered in earth, with traces of painted plaster decoration.
