Howard & Madame Tussaud

howard

Howard Stern may end up in Madame Tussaud's wax museum whether he wants to or not.

The shock jock says he'll probably reject two offers to be immortalized at the
42nd St. attraction, but the museum tells The Post it doesn't need Stern's
permission to clone him in wax.

Scarpello says Stern is the only radio personality the museum has considered at its
monthly "portrait panel" meetings.

"We were getting a lot of requests [for him] from staff and guests alike," she says.
"He's the first one to come to mind, both for radio and representing New York."

Scarpello says the museum can include Stern without his permission because "it's
considered art and not like we're taking a photograph or using his real image.

"If we don't get a response, I have to decide whether to go forward with just
research or abort the project," she said.

So far, Scarpello says Madame Tussaud's has listened to only one potential
inductee who asked to be counted out.

"Mother Teresa said it should be her work and not her that is modeled, so we said
OK."

one Frenchman didn't, and he attempted to take it away, sort of speak. He got

Mick Jagger, Coverboy

Mick

"What a drag it is, getting old...."

Mick Jagger was said to be fuming after his picture was used for the front cover
of the British seniors' magazine, 'Saga'.

The picture of Jagger, 58, clad in a rugby shirt, is accompanied by an interview
inside.

However, Jagger was unaware that the uncharacteristic photo or the in-depth chat
would appear in Saga, according to the Daily Express.

In the interview Jagger, who recently embarked on a high-profile affair with
model Sophie Dahl, 35 years his junior, talks about Enigma, the first project by
his film production company Jagged Films.

"Enigma" will open on general release in September.

Jesse & His 'Soap'

Jesse
He may be a professional he-man, a wrestler and the governor of Minnesota, but
nothing keeps Jesse Ventura's juices flowing like his daily weekday dose of "The
Young and the Restless." The governor made a special stop recently in L.A., en
route to a Navy Seals reunion in San Diego. He attended a swanky Pacific Palisades
party hosted by Emmy-winning actor Eric Braden. (Eric plays the zillionaire Victor
Newman on the popular soap.)

Eric and Jesse met last year when Ventura made a cameo appearance on the show as
himself. So Ventura added the actor to his 50th birthday list in July. Among the
200 VIPs were Sean and Robin Wright Penn. Ventura says his friend "Victor" has
been much too nice lately on the show and he wants the writers to make him more of
a villain. "I'd like to see him with 'Nicky,' played by Melody Scott Thomas, again!"
says Jesse.

What Jesse Ventura won't find at home in Minnesota is a Petrossian Caviar Burger,
listed at a mere $150. That's what he dined on at Le Meridien one of his nights
out in sunny Southern California.

Spike Lee Won't Make "Rent"

Miramax apparently has spiked Spike Lee's film version of the popular Broadway
musical ``Rent.'' Miramax has been working with Tribeca Prods. on a screen
adaptation of the Jonathan Larson tuner.

Lee was never officially attached to the project, but had expressed keen interest
and had gone so far as to start testing out the singing voices of potential cast
members for the film, including Latin crooner Marc Anthony.

Lee is now focusing his efforts on a dramatic film about fighter Joe Louis's life
and the Brown Bomber's famous bout with Max Schmeling -- the 1936 fight that would
be the first and most painful defeat of his boxing career.

For the rest of it, Spike Lee

Sony Pulls Trailer

Sony Pictures Entertainment on Friday said it shut down a Web site featuring an
R-rated trailer for ``Not Another Teen Movie,'' reflecting the industry's move to
prevent young children from viewing adult-themed material.

Sony Pictures, a unit of Sony Corp, said it pulled the trailer off its
Redbandtrailer.com (Redbandtrailer) Web site on Thursday at
the request of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), which monitors
advertising and marketing material for movies and prohibits the showing of R-rated
trailers on the Web.

The trailer of the film, which is a spoof of popular teen comedies, included
partial nudity and foul language.

Got An Extra Mil & Wanna Move?

Robert Blake's 'Mata Hari Ranch' On The Market

The House Has No 'Stigma'...

Actor Robert Blake plans to sell his Studio City "Mata Hari Ranch" that he shared
with his wife before she was mysteriously shot and killed in early May, the Daily
News has learned. The "Baretta" actor intends to move to the west San Fernando
Valley area, said his attorney, Harland Braun, noting that the 67-year-old wants
to be close to his adult daughter, who will help with child care.

"He basically wants to move to a location more convenient for his adult daughter,"
Braun said.

Bakley lived on a house on the back of the property and her relatives have accused
Blake of being abusive.

Blake is asking $1,098,000 for his 4,909-square-foot seven-bedroom, six-bath
compound, said the Studio City real estate agent who placed it up for sale Thursday.
She refused any further comment.

Blake has recently moved his belongings into storage while still living in the home,
Braun said, adding that his client was not moving for privacy reasons.

Area real estate agents say it's unclear whether the Mata Hari Ranch, which was
seen on TV and in newspapers in the wake of the killing, will benefit from its
infamous reputation.

"Even though the person is a celebrity, still, things like violence (and) killing
people could influence (the sale) of the house in a very bad way because the
future buyer is looking to have peace," said Olga Altieri, a real estate agent
with Century 21 in Beverlywood. "When they see things like this, it brings a bad
perspective to the property."

RE/MAX Centre real estate agent Ruth Garriette, who's handling the Cyndi Lauper
estate as well as the 60-plus acres of the Indigo Records estate in Malibu owned
by recording agent Richard Kaplan, didn't think the notorious nature of the home's
celebrity would hurt the sale.

"With homes like that, it's all about publicity," she said. "It'll get more
publicity, which means it'll cover a wider range of people interested in the
property. People just want to have the affiliation. We're all (about) Hollywood in
California."

Randall Bell, a Laguna Beach-based real estate damages consultant who has worked
on accounts that include homes inhabited by Sharon Tate, JonBenet Ramsey, Nicole
Brown Simpson, Jeffrey Dahmer and former members of the Heaven's Gate cult, said
he didn't think there would be a problem with the Blake home.

"I'd be really surprised if (Blake's home) has a stigma," Bell said. "That occurs
when there is a crime at the house. My inclination is it'll sell fairly normally.

"Even if there is a suicide in a house in California, it often doesn't translate
into lost property value."

Radio/Concert News

OJ Takes Rap

oj
Florida is getting ready for a killer hip-hop show tonight - as O.J. Simpson
hosts a star-studded rap concert.

The shamed football great will introduce such acts as Wyclef Jean, Foxy Brown
and Lil' Mo at the Teco Arena in Estero.

He'll also sign footballs and launch them into the crowd.

Concert promoter Steven Marcano defended the choice of host, saying it's not his
place to judge Simpson.

"If 12 people didn't convict him, whatever I believe, if he's right or wrong, I
believe it's not my job to judge anybody. The people who judged him acquitted
him," Marcano told the Naples News.

"I can't condemn someone if 12 other people didn't on the jury."

The concert, called "The First Damn Birthday Jam," celebrates the first
anniversary of radio station The Beat 105.5.

Simpson's co-host will be rapper Nore of the group Capone-N-Noreaga. The grid
great's two kids are also expected to show up.
