Suing To Stop Publication
Niki Taylor
Model Niki Taylor is suing Conde Nast Publications to stop photographs of her scars from being published.
Taylor, who has undergone 40 operations for the injuries she suffered in an April car crash, had never revealed
the damage in shoots until last week.
That's when British Glamour reporter Andrea Thompson and her photographer arrived for a two-hour photo session.
The two told the supermodel they needed "a different angle for their story, which included photographs of her
unclothed body to reveal her bodily scarring," according to a suit filed in Palm Beach County Court.
The suit alleges that Taylor, 26, felt "pressured and compelled to cooperate," Fashion Wire Daily reported. Should
the pictures be published, "her career could be destroyed," the suit claims.

Geneva, the official BartCop Astrologer, always has something interesting to read!
The stars say someone is lying!
Taking a look at the chart itself, the first clue I got that something
devious was going on is the appearance of Mars, in Pisces, in an exact square to
the North Node. Interesting thing about the North Node, some astrologers assert
that when it is in the exact degree of another planet, there is something
underhanded going on. In other words, someone is lying. And isn't it just so
fitting that Mars rules the Mid-heaven, the sector of the chart that represents
the Chief Executive. Further, Mars is in the most devious and evasive sign,
Pisces.
''World Trade Center Cough''
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman will hold a hearing next month examining the quality of air
at ground zero and its effect on the thousands who have breathed it.
Clinton said Saturday that the Feb. 11 hearing in New York will be chaired by Lieberman, D-Conn., who serves with Clinton
on the Environment and Public Works committee.
Since the Sept. 11 terror attacks, workers at the trade center and neighborhood residents have developed respiratory
problems, including the so-called "World Trade Center cough" and various other symptoms from shortness of breath to wheezing.
Dr. David Prezant, a Fire Department lung specialist who joined Clinton, said that of the 8,000 people examined
so far, those who worked at ground zero in the first days after the attacks showed the most serious respiratory symptoms.
Overall, he said some 25 percent of the 11,500 firefighters who spent time at the disaster site have some level
of symptoms, either complaining about shortness of breath, weakness, coughs or stress- related problems.

Presidential niece Lauren Bush just landed a spot on "Friends." The 17-year-old Elite model - whose all-American
looks landed her a lucrative Tommy Hilfiger campaign - taped a non-speaking spot on the hit sitcom yesterday in L.A.
We're told that Bush, who has been working as an intern on "Friends" for the past few weeks, will be shown shooting
a disgusted look at either Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer or Matt LeBlanc in an upcoming episode.

Fuhgedaboudit
Bostonians have their noses out of joint after a casting call for "The Sopranos" failed to turn up a single local
to join the mobbed-up HBO hit. Instead, talented New Yorkers will play the roles with fake Beantown accents. Fifty
actors auditioned for the parts, but the Boston wannabes were told to fuhgedaboudit. "It stinks," one actress told
the Boston Herald. "I think it was HBO's intention never to use us . . . They just wanted to hear us so they could
go back and hire New York actors to imitate us." But one source said there's no way producers would go to the expense
of hiring a casting agent if they hadn't hoped to find some actors.

Like A Virgin?
Britney Spears
Britney Spears has repeatedly denied reports that she and Timberlake, of the boy band *NSYNC, are engaged.
But in a TV interview aired yesterday, she said wedding bells will ring sometime down the road, the British
Press Association reported.
"It will happen some time in the future, but not this year," Spears reportedly said.
Spears and Timberlake recently bought a California home for a reported $3 million.
She's also insisted she and Timberlake have a squeaky-clean time behind closed doors - although according to
some reports, she was recently overheard gushing about their sex life.
"Justin and I have great sex," Spears was overheard saying at a backstage party after a Big Apple awards
ceremony, London's News of the World reported last month.
But publicly, Spears has vowed she's going to hang onto her virginity until she's married.

Just Another Boies Club?
David Boies
Two female lawyers who once worked for legal titan David Boies have told said the sexual discrimination they
allege took place in his office began in a men-only meeting at Boies' home where the male associates were given big raises.
Rachel Baird and Bonnie Porter are suing Boies' firm, charging they and other women in his Westchester office were
paid far less for the same work as the men they worked alongside.
Boies has gained a towering national reputation in legal circles - representing Al Gore in his
Florida recount fight, winning a huge settlement in lawsuits over auction-house price-fixing, and prosecuting Microsoft.
Baird and Porter said they became concerned about possible divisions in Boies' office in March 2000, when lawyers
at the firm were invited over to the boss's home for a get-together.
"All the [male] associates were invited to the meeting at his home, but all the women associates weren't," Porter told The Post.
After receiving an e-mail about the dinner, Baird said she was un-invited once the men in the office realized she
was aware of the gathering.
When the men gathered at Boies' home, they were all given $20,000 raises, the women charge in their lawsuit.

Lenny Kravitz
President Bush has made rocker Lenny Kravitz a happy man — and it didn't even involve body-piercing. Bush just
signed a bill calling for the Pentagon to review the records of Jewish military heroes who may have been unfairly
denied the Medal of Honor. The new law is called the Leonard Kravitz Jewish Veterans' Act. Pvt. Leonard Kravitz,
Lenny's uncle, died in the Korean War.

James Earl Jones
James Earl Jones brushed off a mistake by an engraver who erred while inscribing a plaque meant to
honor the actor during a Martin Luther King Jr. tribute.
The plaque was engraved: ``Thank you James Earl Ray for keeping the dream alive.'' Ray was the man
convicted of assassinating King in Memphis, Tenn., in 1968.
Jones said the company made a common mistake and he's been introduced as James Earl Ray before.
``There's no point in getting too sensitive about it,'' Jones said Saturday at the ceremony.

''The Adventures of Pluto Nash''
Eddie Murphy
The sci-fi comedy Eddie Murphy filmed two years ago is lost in space. Castle Rock has again delayed the release of
"The Adventures of Pluto Nash," in which Murphy plays a lunar nightclub owner battling the Mafia in 2087. It's set
for release now in August. A studio mouthpiece said the long wait was to avoid pitting "Pluto" against the hit Murphy
vehicle "Shrek." The film also stars Randy Quaid, "Everybody Loves Raymond" grumpy old man Peter Boyle, Illeana Douglas
and blaxploitation beauty Pam Grier.

The Rogers Collection At Auction
Roy & Dale
Roy Rogers' sterling silver, gold and ruby-studded saddle, which the cowboy movie star claimed as one of his prized
possessions, sold together with a harness set for $412,000 at auction late Saturday at a Western collectors show.
An anonymous bidder rode away with the 1931 saddle, bridle and martingale owned by the ``King of the Cowboys'' after some
spirited bidding among 30 collectors, event organizers said.
In all, 30 pieces from the Rogers collection were sold during the 12th High Noon auction and show. An estimated 3,000
people were expected to attend this year's two-day event.
But it was the saddle set from Roy Rogers, which cost $20,000 to create and has toured the country beginning in the 1950s,
that attracted the most pre-auction buzz.
Sixteen men spent six months creating the saddle, using 1,400 ounces of sterling silver, 136 ounces of gold and hundreds
of Czech rubies in the midst of the Great Depression. Rogers bought the items from the original owner's estate in 1950
for $50,000 after five years of negotiations.
The saddle and related items were sold by Rogers' heirs to help pay estate taxes as a result of his wife Dale Evans'
death last February, organizers said. Roy Rogers died in July 1998. Their museum in Victorville, California, remains open.

Stephen Ambrose
As plagiarism accusations pile up against historian Stephen Ambrose, few in the best-selling author's former hometown or
at the National D-Day Museum he founded here are ready to condemn him.
Five books by Ambrose are under question: ``Nothing Like It in the World,'' ``Citizen Soldiers,'' Vol. III of Ambrose's
Richard Nixon trilogy, ``Crazy Horse and Custer,'' and ``The Wild Blue,'' his latest best seller.
Ambrose, author of more than 25 books, taught full-time at the University of New Orleans from 1971 to 1995 and remains
a professor emeritus there.
Using artifacts entrusted to him by World War II veterans he interviewed for his best-selling ``D-Day,'' he founded what
is now a $30 million museum. Since it opened less than two years ago, the D-Day museum has drawn more than 500,000 visitors
in this tourist-dependent city.
At the University of New Orleans, criticism of Ambrose was so light - one professor said such mistakes happen ``all the
time'' in popular history - that the chairman of the history department wrote the Times-Picayune to clarify the school's position.

Temporary Restraining Order Granted
The Estefans
Gloria Estefan and her husband Emilio Estefan Jr. were granted a temporary restraining order against an actor and
aspiring singer who has accused Emilio Estefan of making sexual advances and threatening him.
Diaz, who appeared in the 2000 film ``Escape from Cuba,'' accuses Emilio Estefan and Estefan's bodyguard of threatening
him. Diaz also alleges that Estefan touched him inappropriately while they worked out at a gym, and asked him for
sexual favors over two years.
The Estefans have described Diaz as an unwanted trespasser who has harassed them at their home and the gym. Police
records show Diaz has twice been issued a trespassing warning, once at the Estefan's mansion and once at the gym.

Brian Austin Green is 9021-over his former "Beverly Hills" castmates - the only one he speaks to since the show
folded is Ian Ziering, Green said at Sundance, where his new film, "Ronnie," was screened. As for his ex-girlfriend
Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, who was also on the show, Green snorted: "We don't talk anymore, and I don't care if she's
getting married. She sent out an announcement to the media - what's with that? I mean, who cares? Weddings are
supposed to be private." He said when Shannen Doherty was bounced off Aaron Spelling's show "Charmed" last year,
it was "deja vu - been there before."

Actress, writer and musician Carrie Hamilton, daughter of actress Carol Burnett, died Sunday of cancer. She was 38.
Hamilton, whose father was the late producer Joe Hamilton, died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said Burnett's publicist, Deborah Kelman.
Hamilton appeared in the television series ``Fame'' and had guest roles on other shows, including ``Murder She Wrote,'' ``Beverly Hills 90210'' and ``thirtysomething.'' She also starred in television movies.
Hamilton spoke publicly in the '80s about her struggles with addiction and her decision to go drug-free.
She starred as Maureen in the first national touring version of the musical ``Rent,'' has feature film credits, and wrote and directed short films through the profit-sharing production company Namethkuf.
She won ``The Women in Film Award'' at the 2001 Latino Film Festival for her short film ``Lunchtime Thomas.''
She and her mother collaborated on a stage version of Burnett's best-selling memoir ``One More Time.'' The resulting play, ``Hollywood Arms,'' will have its world premiere in Chicago in April.
Hamilton is survived by two sisters, Erin and Jody Hamilton, and by Burnett. Private funeral services were planned.
